“At the half way mark of our 8 hour drive, we came across this gem of a place to have dinner and we didn't regret it. Hands down, best pizza I've had and great service as well. Rest assured, we'll be stopping here again on long trips.Much love from Canada ??”
“Great food and great people! I wish the seating situation was a little less awkward, but we have learned to treat this place as our go too joint for on the run meals. We call in sandwiches from here anytime we are passing through Montpellier.”
“We all agreed tonight that that we had a truly “world class” dining experience in central Vermont. The food was flavorful, exquisite and creatively prepared. The service the entire evening was impeccable. We loved our dining experience and we’ll be back!”
“Love Bent Nail, music is always fun . I've never eaten there so I can't speak to the food. Last night the bar tender clearly wasnt paying any attention to who was waiting for drinks and when they arrived. It took her over 15 minutes to finally acknowledge me. Disappointed as usually thos hasn't been my experience.”
“After working here- I wouldn't recommend. First of all, employees don't recieve the credit card tips after being promised tips. Second of all, nothing is made in house except for the guacamole and pico. Not authentic mexican food of any sort. Canned enchilada sauce. Stuffed Polblano peppers come in a plastic bag. The owners have their own sauce they ask for on enchiladas. It tastes much better than what they serve the public. The owners Lu and David are dirty and steal tips from their employees who are Lu's own "people". Not to mention the place is far from up to health code!”
“The owner(s) are always so kind, and I have never been disappointed by the food! My favorite tom kha around, with generous portions and amazing flavor. I can't say enough good things about this place!”
“Decided to stroll down the block and look for breakfast. Have done it many times and didn't find any. Saw the sign they were recently open. Was great. They even make the bread they serve in house. It's a must try when in Montpelier ”
“If you are like me and love spice and can't find anywhere to Match your spice level then definitely try this place, the extra spicy is perfect if you love spice, they also offered to make it more spicy the next time I came in if the extra spicey wasn't enough”
“One of the best experiences I have had with service ever. After sitting I was served nearly immediately despite the abundance of people at the restaurant. The server was extremely friendly and helpful. The food is some of the best in Montpellier with absolutely tons of options. The food was extremely generous. The atmosphere feels genuinely authentic and local. 10/10 a must visit in Montpellier.”
“Best coffee shop in Vermont. The staff is amazing and so helpful. We happily patronize Capitol Grounds weekly because of the quality coffee, chai tea lattes, and breakfast sandwiches.”
“Have eaten there for years and have never had a problem . Great food great service and wonderful atmosphere . Don't live in town anymore but try to go when I can . Nothing around is better than them . Can't beat authentic food .Vegetarian options: Can opt to have vegetarian and can pick what is in the dish .”
“Macie, our server, epitomized hospitality with her polite, kind, and accommodating demeanor. Not only was she quick in attending to our needs, but her genuine warmth made the dining experience truly memorable. The food was exquisite, and Macie’s exceptional service elevated the entire evening to a new level of enjoyment. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking top-notch, post skiing food and peer, paired with impeccable service.”
“Today I fl celebrated my 50th birthday at my favorite restaurant in Vermont. Been lucky to have been eating fabulous meals at Sarducci’s since first visiting our family on a first trip to Montpelier. In 1998 we moved to Montpelier and made Sarduccis a weekly date. Our family grew, we continued our tradition and watched the kids go from car seats in the booths, to high chairs, to booster seats and now teenagers and young adults. Every time we had company, Sarduccis was our go to. We moved to Essex, but still made time for our favorite spot. Just recently, my husband and I made a special trip for a “just us two” date- happy to find the flood damage was not enough to keep them closed for long. Sadly, my husband Bryan died on August 12, 2023- but the memory of our last date together and him enjoying his meal will last forever. Thank you for years worth of memorable meals and we look toward to many more.”
“So, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place! With the help of the Owner, we hosted my Aunt's 61st bday at this location, even with about 40 people in the back. It was just perfect! The Servers were on top of it (to say the least), taking multiple orders, providing us with consistent apps for everyone to eat, letting us decorate! Even within the large crowd, they'd find the individuals and provide exactly what was asked for!The food was amazing as well! Hot fries, delicious wings, and tasty burgers!!! They even went out of their way to provide a cute cheese and cracker platter that wasn't on the menu! This place is just wonderful! Please come visit, please witness this great group of people and help support them! They truly deserve it!!!”
“Wilaiwans is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at! The food is consistently amazing - rich, complex flavors, fresh healthy ingredients, somehow combining a heartiness with a lightness in one close to perfect culinary package. It’s worth a trip to Montpelier for lunch on a weekday to try a dish here. It is pretty spicy but never so much (for my taste) that the spice overwhelms the flavors. Just the right amount of spice in my book but for those who shy away from spicy food, this is probably not the place for you.”
