“Don’t sleep on Indian-Nepali Kitchen— best Indian food in Vermont! The dishes are packed with so much flavor, the portions are generous, and the owners are super friendly! We jump at the opportunity to stop in and try something new every time we are in Montpelier. On one of our visits, my partner wanted a beer, and the owner let him try an imported Indian ale from his own stock. So good! Grab take out, or even better drop in and get the full experience!!”

“Every time I've been, the menu has been almost entirely different and I've ordered a wide sampling from the menu. I've test to have a single bite of food that wasn't thoughtful, intentional, perfectly prepared, and delicious. The bar program is also fantastic, as is the service. “This is a beautiful spot by the winooski river, we ate on the outside porch with a view of the river, even saw a mother Robin feeding its young in a nest in the rafters. I had linguine pescatore which was delicious, my partner had scampi e cape sante also delicious but unfortunately both meals were light on the scallops hers had 1, also I have to wonder why some sort of bread wouldn’t be served with these dishes. I did mention to staff after and they offered to compensate which I turned down but was made sure I would be treated next time we’re in the area The staff here are great and service was quick, definitely a place to go”

“We were in a bind when our lunch catering fell through at the last minute. Thankfully Noah at the Yellow Mustard Deli helped us out. They were able to cater to our needs and our group's dietary restrictions. Everyone enjoyed the sandwiches. Fairly priced. Would recommend.”

“Buddy's Famous Burgers is one of those small, low-key spots that can easily be overlooked if you're walking through downtown Montpelier, but it's absolutely worth stopping in.

The burgers are great, especially if you're a fan of smash burgers. The patties are thin, flavorful, and don't leave you feeling like you just ate a bowling ball. They have that perfect balance of being filling without feeling overly heavy, which makes it very easy to justify ordering fries or a dessert afterward.

One thing I always judge a place by is a strawberry banana smoothie. It's such a classic flavor that if someone manages to mess it up, that's honestly impressive for all the wrong reasons. Thankfully, Buddy passed the test. Their strawberry banana smoothie is simple, refreshing, and exactly what you want it to be.

They also have little gems throughout the shop that make it feel unique. The Mexican Cola in the glass bottles is always a fun addition, and if you have a sweet tooth, you're in trouble. I've definitely stopped in for late-night ice cream more than once. Their massive scoops of vanilla and chocolate ice cream loaded with sprinkles are worth every calorie, and the ice cream cookie sandwiches in the freezer are dangerously good.
Overall, if you're looking for a classic American-style burger spot with great food, good desserts, and a relaxed atmosphere, Buddy's is definitely worth a visit.”

“I don't do a lot of reviews but we've been here a few times recently and we will be back soon. $6 margarita special on a Saturday night, best taco salad I've had in a while with a cilantro lime dressing.
