I was on a road trip from Seattle. Stopped in early afternoon. To be honest, I partly went because of so many negative reviews in the past and I was curious to see if they were justified. Maybe they were at the time but I really enjoyed my experience. The place is clean, bathrooms are clean, bartender was very friendly and attentive. I suggest you give it a try.
The bartender was really nice, he had to explain a couple of the rules to my group but he was nice about it. It's small, and it's crowded, but if you're looking for a bar like that it will fill that purpose.
Pool tables are a little bit difficult to navigate with people there, but that's a pretty standard thing at a small bar so that's a pretty minor complaint
