I had lunch with a friend yesterday and was very impressed. The Buddah bowl was delicious! I also tried Dandelion tea for the first time. It tasted surprisingly like coffee in a very good way. They have an great variety of other teas if you want to try something new. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. We sat in a cozy room in the back overlooking the Winooski river. I will definitely be returning!

Resturant has outdated menus in windows and inside that do not properly list allergens, this caused my partner to be exposed to a life threatening allergen that required her to use an epi pen and were lucky to avoid total anaphalatic shock, managers and employees did everything to avoid accountability for their negligence. Ontop of that the food was awful, the chicken wrap was mostly spinach and incredibly small for 15 dollars, the the masala bun wasn't fully cooked, and the drinks were very watered down with a pool of simple syrup in the bottom. Unless you are desperate for a vegan option it is not worth the cost or anaphalaxis.

We bought two different kinds of iced tea, and they were the most flavorless teas I’ve ever tasted. If not for the slight difference in color, I would have assumed they gave us plain tap water. Really disappointing

I was researching a specific basaltic vinegar that I had been gifted and knew that it was from Vermont. I came across the North Branch Café, and called them to see if they could ship to me some of the incredible basaltic vinegar. I spoke with Lauren Parker (maybe the owner or manager of the North Branch??) and she said certainly, that she would call me back for my credit card information. Thanking that it was 50-50 on getting a callback, I was surprised when she did give me a call. She had looked to see where they sold this special balsamic vinegar, and it turned out that a vineyard near me sold it. She recommended that I go there and save the cost of shipping as well as support a local business. She told me all about the different types of balsamic vinegars and various ways to utilize, as well as how healthy it is for you. The point of this post is that someone went way above and beyond the norm even though they would not monetarily profit from the effort. To experience this kind of Customer Service and passion about what they’re doing and selling is quite a rarity. I was so impressed with the entire scenario that I felt compelled to write a review. I wish that more businesses understood the value of Customer Service and could be so passionate about what they are doing! Yeah North Branch Cafe!! You can be sure that when/if I am in Mountpelier Vermont, I will definitely be going to 41 State St.

I loved my Vermonter empanada, and the kind lady that waited on me she even warmed up my blueberry/raspberry bar. I had raspberry orange tea! Everything was so delicious 😋 I love Vermont❤️

My favorite place downtown! We do our monthly women's business meetings here and its the perfect atmosphere! Not to mention the best golden milk and london fogs around!!
