The food was OK, but not as good as we expected. Service was so so could’ve been way better. We did not care they’re famous donuts at all.

Not the best place for B’fast. The place is cozy with several nice tables and booths, but there is no table service even though they had three or four staff members available. Order at the counter, get your own coffee and your food comes out on paper plates. Pancakes were average, very little butter added in the kitchen and a very small container of syrup, no way enough for the pancakes, I did receive more syrup when I asked. Bacon comes on a second paper plate cold, obviously cooked well before hand and maybe heated in microwave. Coffee was warm and weak. Pancakes were priced fairly, bacon way over priced for what I received. The staff were friendly enough, but this place could be so much better with a bit of effort. Covid is long over, time to get back to serving your customers.

Nice cozy breakfast and lunch spot. I love to get a bagel with one of their flavored cream cheeses. They have great smoothies. Also usually a few different flavors of coffee. Plenty of breakfast and lunch options to choose from.

Kind but Honest Review of Deb’s Place

New to the area, I had heard several recommendations for Deb’s Place from a few coworkers and was looking forward to trying it out. My first visit was a quick stop in the morning to pick up bagels and cream cheese for a staff breakfast. The atmosphere was cozy and charming—reminiscent of a farmhouse diner—and the older woman I initially spoke with, along with the cashier, were both warm and welcoming. I left with a good first impression and felt I couldn’t give a fair review without sitting down for a full meal.

A few days later, I returned with a friend for breakfast. Unfortunately, this second visit was a bit of a letdown. The person taking our order seemed disengaged and a little curt, even though we were clearly excited to be trying the place out. I asked a few friendly questions about the menu—hoping for a recommendation—and was met with responses that felt dismissive. It seemed like customer interaction wasn’t a priority that day.

The cashier, once again, was very kind, and our food arrived in a timely manner. While the presentation was fine, the food itself just didn’t have much flavor. I only ate half of my chili and wrap, and my friend didn’t finish hers either. As she put it, “As they’d say on The Great British Baking Show—it's not worth the calories.”

Of course, everyone has different tastes, and it's possible we caught them on an off day. That said, with not many local breakfast options, I’ll probably head to the Village Diner in Hardwick next time—where I’ve consistently had both excellent food and service.

I arrived hungry and just before closing. No problem, they said, have a seat! Great burger, fries, and a fried pickle! Very sweet and smiling customer service is rare these days. Thanks for a great meal, and keep up the good work! Y'all didn't have a chance to see my new graphic on my truck, so here ya go!

Unfortunately I did not have a lot of time, but I picked up a ceramic mug and a good cream cheese bagel.

Excellent breakfast prepared to order (watch out, the potatoes are hot!) Excellent staff who are friendly and offer great customer service. Only very slight negative for me is that I don't hear so well and the dining are can echo loud conversations. When asked by owner if I like my meal I jokingly said, "No. But I will come back tomorrowto try again." Then I showed my empty plate. I loved enerything, especially the buttered toast.
