If you haven't had a donut (or 5) from NCD, you are missing out! From the simple cinnamon/sugar or maple glazed to blueberry cheesecake filling or apple fritters, everything I've had from them is delicious. Get your orders in early because they sell out QUICKLY. They are also doing pop-ups in Waterbury now! Wahoo!

Amazingly good donuts!!! đŸ© Really wish they had another location as we would be there for sure!! Loved that they had a pop up in Waterbury last night so we were much closer and could get some! New favorite is the cider glazed! So good

True Vermont gem — the donuts are fresh, fluffy, and packed with flavor!!! (the apple fritter is a must!đŸ€©). Their coffee is local and incredible and pairs perfectly with whatever you grab. Things do sell out fast, (but honestly I love seeing that) — it means they’re busy, worth the hype, and will be around for a long time. ❀ Friendly staff and cozy vibes - make it the kind of spot you can’t wait to come back to.

Well, I wish I had read the reviews last night while planning my 1.5 hour trip from New Hampshire over to VT. Your website makes no damn sense, tried to call to get answers, full well knowing you guys are there working and couldn’t answer the phone at 7am. Called at 8am, still no answer! New owners clearly don’t value customers(didn’t realize they changed ownership until I saw the reviews of everyone complaining about the new ones). It’s also a little ridiculous you don’t open until 8 am, and half your flavors are “sold out” to online orders?? This used to be a really good donut shop, and for the arm and a leg you charge for donuts, yall should be doing better. Absolutely ridiculous.

We stopped by today after finding out this was a Monday-morning-test-balloon AND seeing Churro Donuts on the menu!!! OMG, the new and improved maple/bacon donuts are even better than before, with small pieces of bacon that are crispier and MORE bacon. Again, more bacon. Also, Churro Donuts.

It's a blessing and a curse that they're so far from our house. Blessing because there aren't enough workouts to counterbalance the amount of donuts we'd buy. :-)

They may have changed ownership but at least they still have Donuts at 10:00 am. Cinnamon roll was a banger as well as the bacon maple donut. Donut was a bit small for the price. Great coffee, nice lady at the counter. We were happy!

North Country Donuts was once one of my favorite donut shops. When it was under Nichole’s ownership, the donuts had a certain elegance and care that really set them apart. Since the new owners tookover, however, the recipes seem to have shifted toward synthetic flavors. For example, the raspberry donut, which used to be a favorite of mine, now tastes overwhelmingly artificial. Even with the added sprinkles to make it look more appealing, the flavor doesn’t live up to what it once was.

It’s disappointing, especially given the higher prices of a typical donut shop - what set the previous donut shop apart was the authentic flavors and quality before. I genuinely wanted to enjoy the donut we purchased, but I couldn’t get past the first bite. Even my daughter, who usually loves sweets, wasn’t able to eat it.

I share this not to be unkind but in the hope that the new owners reconsiders the direction your taking it. Expanding might look good on paper, but without returning to the quality that once made this shop special, I worry that the magic and the loyal customers - will be lost.

While vacationing in Vermont last week, we had the pleasure of enjoying some of the delicious and creative donuts, cinnamon rolls and apple fritters from this quaint shop. Every treat we tried was terrific! Can’t wait for our next opportunity to visit Vermont and a stop at North Country Donuts.

I have been searching high and low for a decent Apple Fritter in VT. I found it in spades. My life is now complete. North Country Donuts has achieved perfection. The size, consistency, shape, texture and flavor of this fritter brought me back to my childhood. Thank you NCD. Now, just open another shop in Chittenden County so I can reach Nirvana without driving an hour. P.S. Eff ewe D.D.

The place looks cute and the donuts are displayed beautifully. We got; the banana cream, the creme brulee, the chocolate glazed, the cinnamon sugar, the maple glazed, the salted chocolate, the coffee oreo, and the apple fritter. The apple fritter was the best, it wasn't too gooey and it wasn't over fried. The coffee oreo was devoured by my wife who likes coffee. The banana cream and the creme brulee were typical cream filled but they really did hit their mark with the flavor of the filling. The maple glazed was interesting, not a regular glazed and not a heavy maple flavor but something in between. The salted chocolate was another interesting one, I've had sales carmel and this went that direction but wasn't what I expected as a cake donut. The cinnamon was the most normal and I can easily say that the dough that they use is fantastic in comparison to other companies. It was fluffy and flavorful just making it stand up to other donuts. The chocolate glazed was just off, the dough reminded me of a thick Krispy Kreme without frosting, but the frosting tasted like melting chocolate that is for fun but not flavor.
