My husband and I enjoyed an amazing weekend at Seesaw’s! We loved the cozy feel of the room. The innkeepers were very responsive and friendly. The restaurant was top-notch! We’ll be back!
Delicious food in a great space with wonderful lodge decor. Lovely staff too! Recommend.

Very friendly service, good food, nice relaxed atmosphere. We were visiting Vermont to celebrate our anniversary and Johnny Seesaw's treated us very well! Would definitely go back when in the area again.

We stopped in to The HUT just for a couple beers at the end of the day. It’s very rustic and can get very crowded. No frills.

Food and service was great! Sat at the bar and was served by Chris! He took great care of us! Other guests were a little loud and some kids running around, but overall enjoyable!
Visited this place on a ski trip to VT and wow the best food I’ve had in a while! Frank the bar tender is a great guy. Comfy cozy bar already can’t wait to visit again!
Very rustic setting in this log house rebuilt from the old Johnny Seesaw. The central fireplace warms everyone up.
Everything we picked was delicious.
Our service was prompt and friendly.
They serve half priced wines that are great picks.
We're coming back next year.
This place is like stepping back in time simply magical you would not even know it was there if you weren’t looking for. Highly recommend we got there very early and we’re one of the first ones it filled up though after a while, but got an amazing seat at the fire. perfect place.
It’s sad to say but after 30 years of coming to Johnny Seesaws, last night was our final visit. The entire experience was awful.
We had a reservation at 745 (NYE) to celebrate a 70th birthday for 13 people with 4 kids. We ended up sitting at our table at 820. We got menus and asked if they had prime rib (which many of our guests always order) our server told us “if we come back Thursday or Saturday they’ll have it”. Note it’s on your menu online.
We ordered drinks and then struggled to find something on the menu. Very interesting dishes with one steak option described as chefs selection of beef. We asked our server what the steak was and we were told it’s “beef tips” but they would ask the chef to confirm. After waiting a while to get an answer we were told they were serving beef tips from the back of the cow and a mix of other cuts. We’ve never heard anything like that before so no one ordered the beef dish after that.
After about 45 minutes, we got our 2 salads. Went to the bar to get wines because our server wasn’t around for a while. Then we sat for another hour. 945 someone came over and apologized and said they were plating our meals. They brought two kids pastas that were ice cold. We brought those back and at that point had enough.
After 2 hours into our reservation, two people had salads. We got up and left.
While the grounds and atmosphere are still great, the service and food experience is gone.
Excellent meal tonight. Have been going to Johnny Seesaws for 30 years and the atmosphere is classic Vermont. The fire is roaring and the dining room is candle lit and beautifully decorated with greenery. Very busy tonight with families celebrating the holidays but the staff did a great job. Cocktails were spot on and wine was a generous pour. We shared the winter salad which was delicious and large enough for 2. I ordered the pork chop and he ordered the salmon. Would recommend either. We shared Grandma Miller's Apple pie with cheddar cheese and Wilcox dairy vanilla ice cream, all local!

Awful! We heard they got a new head chef so we gave them another shot for dinner. Winter salad and pretzels were delicious. All of our entrees were lukewarm, lacked flavor, both our steak dishes were way undercooked, so disappointing for how overpriced the dishes were. $60 for a 16 oz prime rib special with absolutely nothing special about it.
This could be mildly excusable if our dishes were run to us quickly, but the worst part was definitely how long the food took to come out. 30 min between us ordering and appetizers being served to us, and at least another 30 minutes for our entrées to come out. So disappointing, especially for the price point.
Our waitress was lovely, but not a very much help speeding things up. I feel bad for the service staff who seem to be doing their best, but are probably dealing with a lot of unhappy customers. When the waitress is afraid to ask, how the food is, you know that it’s bad.
2 year old next to us was sobbing the whole time. I’d be crying if I had to eat those mid, soggy, duck fat fries too, kid.
Avoid this tourist trap restaurant at all costs!
We ate dinner here Saturday night. The staff were excellent. They were really working hard and we arrived for our reservation at the end of the rush. Our server, Sarah, was very personable and offered suggestions for us. Drinks were good but food was a miss for our table. All plates were rather lukewarm rather than hot. The classic bolognese was very flavorful but just not hot enough. The VT Chicken sounded great on the menu but it really lacked flavor (even salt & pepper). Again the food was lukewarm and the chicken was so tough we had a hard time cutting it. One of the four pieces of chicken was tender. We enjoyed our company and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. We just felt the food itself was overpriced for the flavor and portion size.

THE BEST! We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at here and it was absolutely perfect! There were 20 of us and we fit perfectly in the private room. The servers were attentive and fast! The food was tasty and fresh! The drinks were strong and delicious! We stayed a little after closing and we didn't feel like we were being rushed or kicked out. They let us finish our drinks and carry on our conversations. If we could do it all over, we would choose Johnny Seesaw's in heartbeat to hold our rehearsal dinner. Thank you for everything!!!!!

Food came out cold and service was slow...even though it was not busy. I know they can do better than that...must have been an off night.
