23 people went toSAAP for my mother's 90th birthday and Steve the owner who trained with my father at Spaulding High school! Treated us like royalty, great food and excellent service by his wife and him! We all ate family style and my wife,my mom and I all tried every one of the dishes!! Mom unfortunately lives in Concord NH, still wants to go back every year! 15 dishes for $300 what a deal!! Not a complaint in the group, AMAZING for family of chefs and good cooks! Thanks again for a wonderful birthday party, Steve and your wife! Sa WA Dii, KA ! So for the bad Thai language and for taking so long to write about SAAP ! Rick Wheeler. I wish I didn't live in SC because I would be there at least once a week!!!!!

We booked weeks in advance and waited nearly an hour for our food to arrive at the table. During that time we didn’t receive water refills and couldn’t get the waiter’s attention.

When I asked to order an additional dish to take home for my fiancé, I was told there is “no takeout,” with no explanation. This was disappointing!

The food itself was bland for the price point ($30–50). Overall, the experience felt inattentive and unwelcoming. From my previous interactions with this place there seems to be a patten of unfriendly staff. I wouldn’t recommend this place and would choose other options instead ( thai kitchen in milton is fantastic!!)

Drove 2 hours each way to dine at Saap, I was not disappointed and I will be back (soon).

I don't write reviews, but the food here was extraordinary and I felt moved to do so. I lived in Thailand 30+ years ago, greatly enjoyed the cuisine then, and have searched ever since for an authentic replication of that experience. I didn't think I would find it in Central Vermont, but I have. It only took three decades!

I took my wife and aunt for lunch to Saap today and every single dish that came from the kitchen was wonderful with just the right amount of complexity and subtleness that marks excellent Thai food. Brava! Not an uninteresting or Americanized version in sight! Where the restaurant is able to obtain their fresh Thai ingredients is a mystery but one I am happy to leave unsolved.

Yes, we had reservations and the restaurant was quiet so the service bar was not high, but we enjoyed the interaction with the owner who was acting as our waiter. Since this was my guests first real Thai experience, we all shared the dishes and as the food was prepared, it came out in no preordained order which we were fine with.

Go, you will be glad you did!

Very unexpected authentic Thai restaurant that didn’t disappoint. Server was extremely helpful with guiding our heat levels. We will definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Yes, it is a historic building which only added to the ambiance of our dining experience. Yes, it is off of main street which goes through downtown Randolph, but was perfect for us being that we are "off the beaten path" people that enjoy "good" dining. But folks the food was wonderfully fresh as if the herbs were picked fresh from the garden; the flavor deep and pleasant with some of the dishes that we ordered and the local beer a delight. All in all an experience very much worth repeating again and again. Just remember don't expect lots of bells and whistles - this is not Rodeo Drive, but look forward to a very delightful experience.

The server was one of the most passionate servers I ever saw. He was so excited to see people enjoying the food. To me, it really felt like it was the best meal I'd ever had. We got 4-5 dishes and everyone tasted everything. Every bite was like a spiritual experience haha. It's real thai cooked by a kind and passionate thai woman. Folks need to go to Randolph just for that experience. :)

Hi, I’d like to suggest updating your website to clearly state that reservations are required. We tried to dine at your restaurant yesterday but were surprised to see a sign at the entrance indicating that reservations are required and walk-ins are not accepted. It would be helpful for future guests to have that information in advance.

Tasted fine but Balance between salty, sweet, spicy, and sour was a bit off. Both the curry and papaya salad needed some sugar to cut the saltiness of the fish sauce.

The place is nestled smack dab in the middle of nowhere. But don't let the unassuming facade and location fool you. The food was made fresh, extremely flavorful, and clearly authentic. Wish I found this place sooner.

Food is awesome.
I lived next to Thai town in Los Angeles for many years. I have eaten a lot of Thai food (in America). When our food came at SAAP I immediately could tell it was more authentic and regionally specific than any other Thai restaurants or food I was used to.

Really pleasantly surprised to find a gem like this in the middle of Vermont.
Our family make la a point to go when ever we’re in Randolph.

Always good. Always satisfying.
