We read reviews saying the burrito was the best ever and didn’t believe it. My husband ordered it and him and I both agree that it is in fact the best burrito ever!!!!!! I ordered one of their specials with salmon and a sunny side egg and the flavor was incredible. Definitely recommend this place, you need to try it out!! Coffee was delicious and the Bloody Mary was the perfect spicy

Needed a true brunch and couldn’t find what we were craving in barre; we made the accessible drive to Randolph to give Wit & Grit a go. It did not disappoint. The menu is not overwhelming- but has a good selection for meat eaters and vegans. We were immediately sat and mixed drinks were at our table in no time. Food was also fast and HOT. Had a delicious burrito and nicely balanced Bloody Mary. Servers were all friendly and attentive. Saw a range of customers: a couple of old timer Vermonters, a family with an infant, couples, groups of friends and solo people at the bar with laptops. Friendly atmosphere and will be here again.

I loved this place! I stopped in on my way through town to get takeout breakfast to fuel a short hike on the Long Trail. The service was the perfect amount of friendly, courteous, and quick. While I waited I noticed they stock a fun selection of beers to enjoy for guests dining in for brunch. The food itself was delicious - well prepared and seasoned staples (I had the breakwich). It was so good we drove 30 minutes out of our way to come back for a sit-down breakfast on our way out of town the next day! My girlfriend got pancakes with compote (which I tried and confirmed excellent), and I got the biscuits and gravy which were - you guessed it - delicious. The atmosphere felt like a local place and it was clear they care about the small details; our salt and pepper shakers were cute antique critters. Definitely stop in here if you're passing through, or even nearby!

for the love of god change the music. the standard classic rock radio playing the same ten songs everyone has heard roughly 12 million times cheapens the vibe so. much. lame AF.

This was awesome! I travel every year from Boston to come here and have breakfast and get my Christmas tree. Music and vibes were awesome, and of course- the food was immaculate!

If you haven't tried there breakfast burrito, you NEED to. This is certainly my favorite place to go to sit down for a brunch. The staff is fantastic. The bar is so unique and definitely worth a visit.

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast this morning prior to going on our hike. Hannah, the owner, greeted us immediately, sat us, got our drinks, took our order, AND made our orders! The biscuits and gravy and the pile o’ taters were both phenomenal! Unfortunately, Hannah was so short staffed today that she had to close but we got to enjoy her great food, great energy and positivity before her closing.Thank you for the great food, service, and kindness Hannah! It was a pleasure to meet you and we will be back next time in the area! Best of luck to you and keep up the good work!

We arrived a little after noon and they were out of the what appeared to be their best dish (biscuits and gravy). I then decided on an alternative dis which was their hash dish. This was so disappointing. the corned beef was served with potatoes. the potatoes were very greasy and the cubed corned beef was hard and frankly tasted like it was very old. I asked for a box but could not eat it later either. very very disappointMing dining experience.

This past weekend will be my last time going to Wit and Grit. The owner's snippy attitude regarding poorly trained staff resulting in unacceptable service was the last straw. We asked an employee for mustard and what transpired wouldhave been comical if it wasn't so pitiful. Over the course of 10 minutes or so, it took this employee two trips to the kitchen speaking to the line cook and a trip to what I believe to be their stockroom and he still couldn't find the mustard. I then sought out the owner and asked for mustard indicating that the employee was apparently unable to find it. The owner proceeded to the same line cook and returned with a container of mustard, when I mentioned that the employee needed training, Hannah snapped back "he's only been working here a week so give him a break." Now mind you, I didn't say anything to the server about his inability to do the simplest thing, nor was I loud, rude or otherwise nasty to Hannah. Hannah's response really took my friend and I aback. Obviously, the server hadn't been asking the line cook for the mustard otherwise he would have returned with it just as Hannah had. The fact that Hannah not only didn't apologize for the poor service but clearly believes that it was acceptable speaks to how she values (or doesn't) her customer base. This incident happened at 10:45 or 11:00 on a Friday, and the restaurant was not at all busy. The food is okay, but frankly, Prince Street Cafe (at Valley Bowl) has a more extensive menu and portions are larger, with atmosphere being about equal, it will be my choice from now on. Sorry Hannah, but you had the opportunity to make the situation right but instead you made it 10 times worse. (And as a size 8/10 with narrow hips, the metal chairs are too narrow, squishing one's backside uncomfortably.)

Stellar breakfast & lunch spot. Super friendly host, delicious food, perfect portion sizes, clean and hip establishment. The coffee was really next level, rich bodied & full of flavor. All the ingredients were clearly of exceptional quality (we learned about their local & regional sourcing upon asking) & the prices were definitely fair & affordable. Couldn’t get enough—went here for breakfast both days we were in town and wish we could pack the whole place up to come home with us!

One of my favorite breakfast places ever! The people are lovely, and the room is calm, nothing feels rushed, and you feel that you can stay a while. The breakfast sandwich is perfect. I also love the tables outside, weather permitting ;)
