I had been hearing great things and just went for the first time. The Hatchet totally exceeded my expectations. There were 4 of us so we shared several apps. Great LOCAL draft and cider selection. Craft Cocktails looked amazing. I have been craving the crispy brussel sprouts for the last day and half. The Hatchet wings were perfect blend of savory heat and great cold the next day for lunch. Nice atmosphere and quaint. Excellent and attentive server. Hostess rude. Great burger and corn salad, do not get the ribs. Good sauce but dried out. Last time I looked this was America. But asking for vax ID is violation of HEPA laws and personnel freedom whether vax-ed or unvax-ed. Secondly, Richmond must be extremely bad tippers. We are good tippers(usually 20%) but adding in a 15% tip to my bill automatically because the owners are to cheap to pay a living wage should not...read full review
