Great place to go. Everything about The Kitchen Table is awesome! The atmosphere, the food and the service. Delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant. A true Vermont gem.

I really want to support this place but this was pretty pathetic dining experience. Special was fish and chips. Ordered 3 fish and chips. 40 minutes later we are told kitchen only has 2 fish and chips. I quickly switched order to Ban Mi noodle bowl. 20 minutes later we are told kitchen only has 1 fish and chips. Another person switches order. 20 minutes later food arrives. Food is okay but who wants to wait over an hour for their dinner? Please get it together Kitchen Table.
A cozy place that's proud of the local ingredients they use and the quality of the dishes they serve.

Went in for dinner and ordered appetizers and entrées. We told the waitress we wanted to start with the appetizers. She brought the apps, and right behind her the food runner came with our entrées at the same time. She waved her off and sent them back. Just a couple of minutes later—while we were still eating the appetizers—she came back with the same entrées that had just been sitting in the kitchen and set them down. No apology, no acknowledgment.
When I asked if entrées are supposed to come after appetizers, she admitted yes, but brushed it off with “the kitchen made them too fast.” That’s not an excuse—it’s unprofessional. Then we packed our food and left. Serving entrées while we’re still eating appetizers basically tells customers get the hell out.
Maybe this would fly at a diner or a fast-food joint, but not at a restaurant that positions itself as a good one. I wasn’t eating here for free or as a favor—I expected a proper dining experience, not to be rushed through courses like it didn’t matter. And the worst part? . It wasn’t even busy, there were only two tables in the room that we sat. Completely disappointing service for the price and reputation. Not coming back. !

Dropped in here because of the high rating. Service and atmosphere was good but food was mediocre at best. I ordered fried chicken and it was very overcooked, very dry. It was paired with fries that were warm not hot and grilled seasonal vegetables which I took to be plural but it was green beens only which were okay. My wife had the steak which was cooked well and my daughter had the pasta who rated it 7/10. So for the prices there, I was expecting more.

This was a no for us.
Food was meh. Egg undercooked on benny, muffin overcooked, ham was way too thick and chewy. Coffee came with disposable creamer packets which seemed weird. Husband ordered hunters bfast, his eggs were way overcooked and same thick chewy ham steak. Our son’s pancakes were nice and fluffy so there’s that but he didn’t like the chocolate milk, said it was bitter. After tasting it seems like use dark chocolate or something similar which just didn’t taste good.
Ambiance was awkward, I get that it’s an old house but it just didn’t vibe. Service was pleasant.

Stopped here and sat at the bar for my husband's birthday. Our bartender was excellent, she was attentive, super welcoming, made great drinks, and even put a little candle in my husband's dessert. I had the salmon which was delicious, he got a perfectly cooked pork chop. If we find ourselves back in Richmond we will definitely be back in.

Place is great but I have a bone to pick with the restaurant as their ramp up to the entrance is very uneven. I tripped on it when I was wearing my 7 month old and then watched an older woman with a walker trip all over it too. It's not settled and uneven. The other thing that was frustrating was there wasn't a baby changing station in the bathrooms. Had to change my baby on the floor. Just for the price these things should be taken care of.
Extremely friendly from the moment we opened the door. Our little one felt perfectly included but they also were sure to check with us about the dessert before offering it. I'll be dreaming of that Short rib poutine and the cocktails were perfect. Just be sure you're ready to pay the price that goes with the great experience.
We dined there last Sat and had a lovely meal. Our server was friendly and fun and despite the pouring rain the interior of the restaurant was warm and cozy. My husband’s steak was perfect and delicious. My only disappointment is the grain bowl. I’m a vegetarian and I don’t want pasta every time. The grain bowl was delicious but it costs $28 for quinoa and vegetables. That’s a price one would pay for chicken and fish. I reached out to Craig, the owner, via email but never heard back. I wanted to discuss the cost of the dish out of curiosity. I’m leaving my review only to alert other vegetarians that our food options cost a lot here. If you eat and seafood you will be very happy.

The Kitchen Table is an absolute gem of a restaurant. My wife and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary there last night and they went out of their way to make it a special experience - so much so that I woke up this morning wanting to complete my very first google review (that I can recall anyway, I typically prefer my privacy). The entire staff, and our server particularly, were warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend the Kitchen Table to anyone looking for a good meal and an upscale yet comforting atmosphere. They also have a nice room upstairs for events (20-30) so call them if you are looking for that.
Excellent breakfast in a unique home setting. Would recommend the eggs Benedict!
Lived up to the expectations. Usually a place of this price tier, the portions are on the smaller side, not here. Wanted to try dessert, but honestly was too full. Will def be back. Our host was very attentive and social which added to the experience.
In a small town right off interstate 89, is a gem of a restaurant. In an unassuming, renovated old farmhouse is The Kitchen Table. This cozy restaurant offers top notch food and drink.
We started with poutine topped with short ribs. It was fantastic!! Could have been a full meal. I had the warm rice bowl topped with short rib, my dinning companions had the schnitzel and the catch of the day.
All of the food was great and I would definitely recommend trying this great place. Reservations are recommended.
Great experience as always! Kitchen Table is one of our favorite date night places and it turns out it is also a great place to host a large group (14). The food was amazing from the appetizers all the way through to dessert. The specialty cocktails were very tasty too! Highly recommended!
