We had a fantastic experience dining with our family at Roots while on vacation in Vermont. We began with the calamari appetizer - the calamari was fresh, crispy and the citrus marinated peppers gave it a unique spin. My youngest son (16) had the ravioli (loved the pasta, but thought the corn in the sauce was a bit odd.) Meatballs excellent. Some of the other entrees were good but not excellent. This 4 vs 5 stars. Service a little slow and meals coming out were very staggered. 2 people got their meals as the rest were finishing up. Worth a try.
Roots consistantly serves good food. Casual restaurant, great bar. High quality, valueand presentation are delivered. This restaurant can get noisey when busy, the night we dined at the bar, it was not busy.
