The Mad Rose Reviews
I like the darkness of the bar. It does need air conditioning and it does close way too early but the drinks are good and has a good vibe to it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely Rutland’s best spot for drinks and delicious food. Brooke has transformed this space into a cabaret style experience with specialty cocktails and mocktails. As a non drinker, I really appreciate the attention to detail with hand crafted nonalcoholic drinks! 5 Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
some of the finest drinks and cocktails i have had in vermont. everything is thought out and mindfully made. A top notch team crafts each drink from the ground up including house made syrups, milk punches while using various techniques to make some really cool drinks. the food is absolutely amazing and has that mom made it feel. The Mad Rose is a cocktail lounge that many visitors call a gem. The darkness of the bar gives it a cool vibe, and the drinks are good. Professional staff serve excellent cocktails and a menu that includes short rib egg rolls and crispy Brussels sprouts that are praised as the best. The food is described as delicious, with potato pave and the cocktail Princess Peach being memorable. Some guests note the bar needs air conditioning and closes early, but the atmosphere keeps people coming back. The lounge is described as a VT style cocktail lounge, with a pool table that does not match the nicer decor of the main area. A smoked old fashioned was found to be basic, and a seasonal festive cocktail was no longer on the menu. Non‑alcoholic drinks are hand crafted and receive high praise. Overall, The Mad Rose feels like an upper‑class soiree in Rutland, Vermont, and is a must when you are in the area.
