In had a great visit. Many reviews seem to focus on the food. I tend to pay more attention to the ambiance. Nelly’s is the best neighborhood bar I’ve been to. Lots of patrons. Many seem to know each other, leading to lively banter at the bar.I had so much fun soaking it all in, I stayed for an extra Bud!Ordered a cheeseburger and fries. It was generous in size and tasted great.Highly recommended!Parking: This is an urban location, so parking can be challenging. On street parking is 2 hours, but I think it’s free after hours. In the early evening when I went, there was plenty of parking.

My wife and I decided to go to Nellys Pub & Grill on February 14th, 2024, aka Valetines Day!! It's not very welcoming because the employees in FOH position seemed to be busy chatting up BOH employees "a cook in this case", but we had fun on our own. It's pretty bad when me as a customer is calling over to Drakes to order food for pick up.

I've now been here twice. The first time was during the day, and my husband and I sat at the bar and got beer and snacks. That time was lovely! The second time we went, however, was on a Friday night and we sat at a table. The drinks and food were fine, but the waitress added an extra round to our tab. When we told her, she said "Oh I thought I brought you a second round" which we found a little suspicious since we were only there for about 40 minutes and never ordered a second round. That definitely left a sour taste in our mouth. Not sure if we will go back.

This was a great place. I got a Guinness and the fry sampler platter which was huge and really delicious. Our group sat at the front of the restaurant which seemed a cozy pub atmosphere. I was told there was a stage in the back for live music so I thought that was cool.

Loved this place! Such a chill locals bar with extremely friendly personable staff. We had quick service, delicious margarita flight- great selection of flavor options (Fiery Rooster Spicy Sriracha Marg was ??). To eat: juicy crunchy pickle fries, an AMAZING montreal smoked meat sandwich, and a huge juicy burger & fries! Such great value on everything. Our server Olga was the highlight of the night- such a bubbly green haired goddess who was on top of our every need. The back room had a live band which added to the great vibes. Can’t wait to come back! ?

Have you ever travelled with unadventerous picky eaters? You know those that are scared of chicken or those that are scared of spices. Well, this little pub has just enough of everything to satisfy even the pickiest/pain in the @ss eaters. Friends of mine just moved to St Albans and are in walking distance of this hidden treasure. I had their fish and chips, which they upgraded to Fish & Pulled Pork Poutine. The margarita no salt was wonderous after a busy day of moving boxes, furniture and driving back to Plattapusburgh. This place is awesome, please don't let the hipsters ruin it. Wonder if they had hard apple cider. Awesome place, chairs aren't super comfy but everything else they do is just right.Dietary restrictions: Let them know, they worked around our weird requirements, without any snark or attitude. If you don't like delicious food, this might not be the place for you.Parking: We walked there, but there is parking around this quaint little down town.

This is my girlfriend and I's new favorite spot. We were in town and it was lunch time so we decided to stop in.We were a little bummed that deep fried avocado slices were no longer on the menu but we got the Tres Amigos with extra guac and queso instead. The guac is soooo good!We also tried the smothered burritos with white sauce (queso/cheese); my girlfriend got the Saint Albans one and I got the Alburgher. Both were delicious and quite filling we needed to go boxes for them.Side note: most of this stuff is not spicy though so if you are looking for that kick you won't find it here. They are definitely Americanized/not spicy. We were okay with that though because we think too much pepper is spicy. Lol

The food is excellent, always our choice for mexican cuisine. Staff is friendly and attentive. We would prefer a restaurant atmosphere over a pub because of the noise level, but you can carry on a conversation without problem. We'll definitely go back.
