Kitchen Counter Cafe Reviews

The food from here is always fantastic. I would say it’s one of the best places to eat in St. Johnsbury!

The Kitchen Counter Cafe is a cozy and inviting restaurant located on Railroad Street. Despite its small size, the cafe is often busy, with most tables filled and customers seated at the counter. The food is prepared with care and skill, offering classic diner fare. Some dishes are made fresh, while others seem frozen, but the overall quality is good. The cafe is known for its excellent egg sandwich, which features crispy bacon, a fried egg cooked just right, a hearty slice of melty cheddar, all on a perfectly grilled English muffin. Customers appreciate the friendly and attentive staff, who provide great service at reasonable prices for breakfast. The atmosphere feels homey and welcoming, with local art displayed on the walls. Many visitors enjoy coming here with family and friends, especially after a night out. The building shows signs of aging but remains clean and comfortable, making it a popular spot for breakfast and American comfort food enthusiasts in the Northeast Kingdom.
