I rarely give a five star review from my first visit. But based on the crowd, the service and the quality of the food; I think the experience would be the same the next time. Upon entering there were two hostesses, one asked me If I wanted to eat upstairs or downstairs. It was such an odd question to me so I asked the difference. The upstairs is loud, is like a pub, and has casual foods ( like sandwiches and such); the downstairs is the nicer/fancier fare. Downstairs first date, special night, date night; upstairs been dating a month or more, married and have to eat quick for your date, hanging out with friends. Food: 5 stars. I had the New England Clam Chowder and their french dip sandwich. The chowder was the best I have had in a very long time. If I was local, I'd get it on the regular. The sandwich was also really good! This sandwich hits every category for me when rating a sandwich: 1 - the bread, 2 - the quality of the ingredients, 3 - does it stay a sandwich or fall apart into an open faced sandwich. The bread was tender, crispy and resilient; it held the ingredients even after it soaked up the au juis for the next bite. The filling was excellent, the right amount of meat-to-cheese-to-horseradish sauce! The fries were great too! Service: 5 stars. My server was quick, got my order right and was very friendly. The place was completely packed so I was impressed with her efficiency.

Been here several times and the food/service has always been good. It can get a little busy at times but that it usually how it goes if the food is good, reasonably priced and the service is friendly...

My mother and I went to the Upper Deck Pub during our stay in Burlington for the eclipse, and we were blown away by the service. Our waitress Julia was phenomenal, always checking in to make sure that we were satisfied, and the food was out of this world. The potato skins and nachos that we shared for our appetizers were the best that we have ever tasted, my burger and fries and her crab cakes were splendid, and the brownie sundae that we split for dessert was heavenly. The drinks were also fabulous, especially their eclipse specialty drink. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who lives within the Burlington area and for those traveling there.

Great food and ambiance. Service was excellent. Regular and nightly special menus had a variety of offerings. Would go back!

I love eating here! The staff is always amazing, the upper decker is a great place to eat when you don’t mind a fun crowd. The windjammer is great for a nice quiet dinner. In my opinion it’s the best food in the Burlington area. Geat menu selection and fantastic beer list. The Prime Rib is a must try!!

Stopped for dinner at 5:30 on a Wednesday with my husband and waited 45 minutes for a steak salad and chicken sandwich. Requested steak medium and got well- done. The driest and toughest small steak I've ever had on some lettuce for $28. The pub was deafening and every so often the grinding of a blender would add to the ambiance. Aside from normal tax and tip an additional tax was added. Overall an expensive, disappointing and soulless experience.

We used to go here all the time. Great food and hospitality. I wish they would bring back the salad bar, it was the best around!

Professional staff with outstanding food and good selection on the menu. Nice nautical theme but a bit noisy atmosphere. Enjoyable and recommended!

Excellent throughout. Great service, fabulous wine, delicious starter (wedge salad) and mains (statler chicken and boneless ribeye. OMG you have to have the side of brussels - I hate brussels sprouts but these are amazing!

Food quality seems to have gone down. Our dinners (Frnch dip and chicken fingers) we adequate. Staff were helpful and attentive. We were speechless to see a “1.5% kitchen service fee” on our bill as there was no signage or notice on the menu. We asked the server who explained, and politely tried to say that many Vt. restaurants are doing this to support kitchen staff. We eat out A LOT throughout New England and have not seen it before. My better half was livid.

This is the 3rd time that we've gone and had average experiences. We've actually decided not to go again. We don't get to go out much, but It's just basic stuff. The server was very nice, but the service was slow and she forgot to order what we asked for...meaning she ordered a different version. When we got our meal and noticed something was missing we were told she would go get it, but didn't tell us she had to reorder it and it took about 10 minutes to get, which made everything else cold. The buns were not fresh, the burgers were so well done they crumbled - I ordered medium and definitely not medium. We clearly didn't finish it, but nothing was said, nothing was taken off. We each had two drinks and didn't even feel like there was much, if any, alcohol in them. Again, we don't get to go out much...but want to enjoy the time and $ we spend on a night out. Disappointing

We were impressed with our server, Mae, and the food was delicious. My husband has numerous food allergies and they were addressed expertly.Living in Hawaii, we thought the prices were more than reasonable.

My husband and I had dinner here the night of Sept 29th. The food and service were excellent! We started off with the crab cake which was quite good but a bit small for the price of $17. But, at least it was filled with crab and not all filler. For our main courses I had the broiled scallops which came with a side dish and I picked the rice pilaf. They gave me 7 nice size scallops which was great because some places only give you 3 or 4. My husband had the broiled seafood platter with French fries. We both loved our entrees. My husband mentioned to our waiter who was really great, that it was our 40th anniversary and he gave us a free dessert on the house, which I thought was so nice. We had a VERY chocolatey cake, so if you are a real chocolate lover, you will love it. I highly recommend The Windjammer! For you landlubbers, there are many beef/chicken dishes. We saw lots and lots of prime ribs coming out of the kitchen!
