This spot is truly a hidden gem! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with genuine warmth. The owners are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home. The staff is nothing short of amazing; their positive energy, attentiveness, and passion for what they do really elevate the entire dining experience. And the food? Absolutely outstanding. Blue Paddle Bistro is a real gem in the islands. The food is genuinely outstanding; Chef Phoebe does an amazing job. We can’t get enough of their clams, lobster sauté, filet mignon, fancy cocktails, decadent desserts, and so much more. Everything is always cooked and seasoned to perfection. It’s fine dining in a charming setting. Mandy brings all the warmth and makes you feel like family. What’s better than amazing food where you’re welcomed with open arms. Not to mention they almost always have live music and even sometimes a sing along. It’s the true whimsy and magic of Vermont and we’re so lucky to have it and them.
We recently dined here with out-of-town guests. We ordered the duck breast; surf and turf; butternut squash ravioli; and shrimp pasta. Everyone raved about their dinner and the service was outstanding. It has a fun, eclectic VT vibe that we love.

Had a fantastic dinner with friends on a beautiful July evening. Sat outside under the massive oak with our dog. Enjoyed the duck, pork tenderloin, filet mignon and caprese salad. Overall the food was good, and the wait staff was attentive. However, the hostess and pre-meal experience really soured our evening.
We had a reservation at 7pm for 7 people for a birthday dinner. When we got there, the hostess told us the table was almost ready and to have a seat outside. We did. At 7:10 we were told the table was almost ready. At 7:20 we were again told it was almost ready. No waitress was sent over to offer us drinks while we waited.
At 7:30 we were again told it was almost ready. We asked if we could get some drinks and were told of course. She disappeared inside and the next time we saw her she brought the whole wait staff outside to get a picture.
At 7:40, we still had no table, and no waitress to take a drink order.
When the waitress (not the hostess) finally sat us at 7:45, no apology was made and no offer of a free round of drinks or apps.
I understand tables get backed up, but the lack of acknowledgement, service while waiting, and any type of effort to make it right by offering a free app or round of drinks really soured our night.
So while the location is solid, food is good, I am not sure we will be driving the 30 minutes back to risk a 40 minute wait
