We ordered food for pickup and it’s the best takeaway food we have had in a long time we can’t wait to eat there in person! We ordered seasonal salad - very good! chicken sandwich - really good filling grilled sandwich lobster pasta - giant chunks of yummy lobster in a delicious sauce and perfect amount of pasta coffee crusted pork and goat cheese mashed potatoes - you need to order this, the pork was cooked perfectly the mashed potatoes were so yummy we could eat this every day it’s so good! Staff is super friendly and the food was ready quickly and packaged well.

Blue Paddle Bistro had some hits and misses, but overall, we had a decent experience.
Visiting from out of town, we needed a dinner spot and made a same-day reservation, which they kindly accommodated. The restaurant has a cozy, rustic vibe — think cabin-in-the-mountains charm. The menu was a bit limited, especially with appetizers, but we went with the mussels from Prince Edward Island, and they were incredible. Seriously, some of the best I’ve had. That said, the portion of bread they served alongside was laughably small, especially for a dish made to share.
For our mains, we ordered two different burgers, both medium rare, and unfortunately, they were both overcooked. It was disappointing because the burgers themselves were huge and packed with flavor. The fries, though, were excellent and saved the meal a bit. On the drinks side, the martini I had was fantastic.
Overall, I’d rate this a 3.5 but am rounding up to 4 since it was our first visit, and I can see the potential.

Last night’s meal was pure delight— one of the best I've had in sometime. Greeted by a friendly dog at the door and serenaded by live music while waiting to be seated, it was a wonderful outing. The food? Simply exquisite. Every bite, a perfect harmony of flavors and care. If you're seeking a place where warmth, music, and culinary artistry meet this is a great spot to go.

We were not able to make reservations but they fit us in on a busy night. I think all nights might be busy, so if you can make reservations The food was amazing and I really don’t think I have better service Crab cakes appetizers, salad that’s was on special and seafood risotto, all incredible
I can't say enough about how much we loved our dinner(s) at the Blue Paddle Bistro - our first dinner there was so good that we had to return on the next night for one more dinner before our vacation ended! We were greeted by the owner at the front door after she was kind enough to make a reservation at the last minute for us, and we sat in the main dining room area which was decorated so nicely and our server Eirann was friendly, helpful with suggestions about the menu and did an all-around fabulous job. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we knew by the time we left that we had to come back the next night for one more visit before we headed back home to NJ. My husband had the mixed grill special and I had the Butternut Squash ravioli and we both ate every bite.
The second night we were lucky enough to sit with Eirann again, this time upstairs in a cute and cozy room that overlooked the outside patio area of the restaurant. We both had appetizers (the best mussels in white sauce I have ever had), he had the roasted seared duck for dinner and chocolate lava cake for dessert and I the lobster sauté pasta and Raspberry Lemon Drop Cake - again not a bite left!
The atmosphere is fun and offers indoor dining as well as leashed dog-friendly outdoor dining, live music, fun decor - an all-around great experience. Although the food is fantastic, the best parts of the Blue Paddle are the people - we felt welcome and right at home the minute we arrived, and you can really tell that the owners and staff really have their whole hearts in what they do. It shows, and because of it, the Blue Paddle really shines! Thank you everyone for ending our vacation in VT on a high note, and we can't wait to come back!

Finally made it out to Blue Paddle Bistro last night courtesy of an end of the year gift from a student! Been wanting to go for years after hearing so many rave reviews and it absolutely did not disappoint. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked, the atmosphere was lovely and there was even live music to enjoy! So very glad I got to finally experience it for myself!!
