Two Heroes has been a great place that we always looked forward to, but something strange in the brewery seems to have happened prior to our last visit. Their Turtle Bay IPA used to be a great example what it was listed as, a good New England IPA. A nice and hazy ipa with great citrus notes and a nice piney finish. But it is a COMPLETELY different beer now. Now it’s an English IPA, clear amber with malt and caramel dominating the flavor. We really thought we were served the wrong beer. It had no resemblance to the long standing NEIPA it used to be.

The stemmed tulip glass is what TBIPA used to be like when it was great…the Willi Becher glass it what it is now. Just a shame if the change is permanent.

I can’t say enough positive things about Two Heroes! Whether it’s the atmosphere, brews, food, staff or experiences they offer our beloved island town - Two Heroes provides a welcoming, warm environment for all. I commonly stop in to enjoy a lunch date with my husband, or family game night on Thursdays, or meet up with friends to enjoy open mic or trivia nights. There’s something for everyone and I encourage you to stop in to say hello on your next trip through the Vermont Islands.

The atmosphere, the food, the beer, and the people are exceptional!
It is South Hero’s own Cheers where you instantly feel like family.
The regular events keep the vibe fresh.
Highly recommended!

Two Heroes is fantastic - the atmosphere, the staff, the food, and the beer. We loved every beer in our flight and bought four-packs to bring home. The fried Korean chicken sandwich is out of this world. The apple cheddar panini is A+. Highly recommend this place!

The staff was friendly but not very attentive. When we entered the restaurant, no one greeted us, and we had to approach the server ourselves. Unfortunately, the food wad only ok either. Overall, a bit disappointing.

Been wanting to try this place for months. Should have kept driving. Waited almost 20 mins in line to order beer/food right as we arrived. The kitchen ran out of their pulled pork special only 2 hours after open but still charged us $12 for a small plate of fries with microwaved bacon on top in lieu of pulled pork. (Strike 1)

The place only had 2 bartenders working and about 7 food runners, why? Why not help your bar staff? The two women seemed miserable and overwhelmed the entire time we were there. (Strike 2)

Now unfortunately the beer. It’s not great, it’s not bad but it’s not good at all… BLAND. BORING. My wife and I each had a flight which was also overpriced for the lack of quality liquids. (Strike 3)

After spending $55 on 2 beer flights and sub par food. Will not be coming back or recommending to anyone. Take the extra 20/30 and go to black flannel, that’s where we went after this diabolical disappointment.

This is my favorite brewery. The beer is wonderful. The service is spectacular. The vibe and energy is dynamite! I love it.

Tucked away in the idyllic Lake Champlain Islands, Two Heroes Brewing & Public House is located at 252 US Route 2, in South Hero. Opened in 2022 after evolving from a pilot setup in a former bagel shop, this spot—run by partners Matt Bartle, Daren Orr, and Danielle Orr—focuses on small-batch brews using local ingredients like grain from Quintin Farm in nearby North Hero. Housed in a striking red modern monitor barn, it doubles as a brewpub with a large porch perfect for sunset views, making it an ideal stop while escaping Burlington's bustle (just 25 minutes away). The food is average for a brewery and they have food trucks on occasion.
The beer selection is broad and is published online.
It’s a dog friendly environment. There is plenty of parking although half of it is on dirt well beyond the entrance.

Awesome brewery! We loved this dog-friendly spot. Turkey burger was great and the pub burger as well.

Stopped for a flight and it didn't disappoint. Good beer, friendly bartender, and a nice and relaxing atmosphere. Will stop by again!

Stopped for lunch and also discovered an excellent Stout beer. Actually the beer selection was quite diverse, which I love to see instead of all ipas on tap. We enjoyed a nice lunch of a salad and a chicken sandwich. Both of them very nice. Also. Excellent place to sit outside and enjoy the views

Such a great spot! Great beer, atmosphere, staff, and absolutely the best lobster roll at a competitive price. Several fresh lobster claws, light lemon mayo on a fresh roll. My husband enjoyed the coconut shrimp.

What a wonderful experience , food, drinks and live music. Ignore that grumpy review about the flies! This is farm land and yes there were a few flies. Vermont is Vermont.

Amanda Sardi

Spent $45 on lunch today just to be covered with flies. Completely out of control. Had at least a half dozen flies at our table crawling on my arms, food, flying around my face.

There are ways to mitigate that.
