Woodstock is an expensive town, and overall I think this place offers good value if that matters to you. There are pluses and minuses to consider and it depends on what you're looking for. This is an efficient, no services, no frills, no amenities inn-like motel & I think it is reflected in the price in a town where rooms can be up to $550/night.

Pros: It's close to Woodstock, but not in Woodstock. The Country Store next door can fill in for things the hotel doesn't offer like coffee, breakfast, wine/beer, etc. It's only open until 5 pm.
Cons: The rooms were a tiny bit run down. It's self check-in so there are no ppl to ask questions and no amenities. The restaurant is only open Wed-Sat. So you're stuck with no dinner option if you are there Sun-Tues and you'll have to drive into town.

I actually only ate at the restaurant but the food and service were 5 star so I could only assume everything else is.
Just go. You won't be disappointed.

Food and drinks: The pizza was amazing as well as the limoncello.
Drinks were top shelf.
They put so much thought and care into every detail and it certainly shows.

Review of hotel only - great proximity to Woodstock, garden is gorgeous, convenient parking, swimming towels provided, daily housekeeping (which is super rare nowadays) and Country Store nextdoor is lovely. Room was not at advertised- tons of extremely steep stairs in the building and in the room to get to the bed, no host on property, "coffee" was a Keurig in the main house only, they couldn't recommend area activities when I called in advance and told me to "look it up online", and the pond has nowhere to sit or trash cans. There are great things about this place and wanted to love it but would not return for the price point.

Rooms: Very uncomfortable mattress

Walkability: No mention of extremely steep and numerous stairs when booking.

Had pizza, salad and cocktails at Random Tavern

Food & drinks: Great beet salad and craft cocktails. Slightly disappointed w the pizza — a few gourmet mushrooms on the pizza but skimpy for the price. Nice atmosphere and excellent service.

This hotel is duper special, in a very unique location and great rooms. We loved the area, the pond right next to it, the restaurant and the local store, they made our experience so special! The only little downsides I want to mention are:1. There is no coffee machine or pot in the room, so if you are in a mood for coffee in the afternoon - it’s not an option.2. No one actually welcomes you to the hotel, you get the passcode for the door via email and enter by yourself. For me it was a little disappointing but maybe it’s just me.But overall, the room was great, very clean and spacious and we loved the whole experience.Nearby activities: Only 8 minutes drive from woodstock

We had a lovely time at Kendra’s Valley Inn. Our room was very comfortable with a nice bed and linens. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The swimming pond was enjoyed by all of us from 1-60 years. The restaurant was closed the days we stayed, but we enjoyed breakfast at the store next to the Inn.

Overall I had a pleasant stay at Kedron Valley Inn for a Killington ski weekend. I went in a bit skeptical, as the service I experienced via phone while making the reservation a few months ago was not great (many mistakes made and a very rude booking coordinator when I called to resolve those mistakes). However the room I stayed in was very nice, the pizza in the restaurant was good, and the service during our stay spectacular. So I may stay again but would probably book with a third party :)

We stayed starting the day after Christmas. Room was clean and cozy. The motel style room is pet friendly so we were able to bring our dog. Location is in a great part of town convenient to shops and restaurants. The country store next store had wonderful friendly women working there who service a delicious breakfast at a great price. My son accidentally left his backpack there and they returned it to the hotel where they were kind enough to mail it back to me. We had a great family weekend sledding and snow shoeing. Would definitely go back.

Delicious brick oven pizza, very fresh with a nice crisp but not burnt crust. The Mediterranean salad had a light dress that left you wanting more. The seasonal drink that we got was decent but strong. Enjoyed the warm interior hime feel of the atmosphere.

This has to be my favourite holiday. Absolute peace and stunning leaf fall colours. The cabin rooms are spacious and comfortable. Take a walk to the top of Mount Tom for some spectacular views. The General Store next door does good breakfasts at a reasonable price. I really hope to return.

This may have been the best restaurant I've been to. I don't understand why other reviews say it's alright. Extremely well done. Maybe I just arrived on a good day. Will have to go back and see.

It was poor as it was not as described on the Website. We booked to be given rooms in an old inn with lovely four poster beds as appeared on the webpage. This was not what was given to us. We were put in the log cabins plus one of our party was in a room where the fire alarm went off in the night. Of course, she went directly outside where two firetrucks arrived and an ambulance but there were no clear instructions of what to do in such an emergency and with not one of the staff living on site, the firemen had no access to any of the rooms, We were amazed there was no person in charge living on site. We cannot see how the insurance company or local authorities would approve such an arrangement. Also, the website says free breakfast. NOT SO. Breakfast is in a little store next door. Also, no room service. For the exorbitant price we paid, had we known before hand we would be given log cabins we would certainly have made other arrangements.
