We come to Vermont seasonally and always dine at Blackrock. We were here for 10 days and dined there 5 times because they are great on all foods on there broad menu. Their steak, fish and Italian meals are all fantastic and very affordable.
We were looking for a great place to eat South of Woodstock VT, We found Black Rock. I made reservations for 4 through OpenTable. We arrived early, after shopping, and were both starving. The first thing we noticed was that from what I heard and the menu, that the place was very homey and Vermontish, not what we pictured in our minds. Blackstone had been on my to do list for at least 2 years, it's an hour away from where I live, but I now know that its well worth the drive. The menu is extensive, the food quality is amazing the food value (price for what you get) is outstanding! We started with both the ahi tuna and the calamari appetizers. We didn't need our entre after those. 90 of our very delicious entres came home with us. Our server was wonderful, largely leaving us alone till magically appearing...
