NOT OPEN - CLOSED FOR SEASON on August 17. I could blame the owners for not updating their hours on Google (they haven’t), but honestly I didn’t even check because it never crossed my mind that an ice cream stand wouldn’t be open on a Saturday afternoon at the end of August. I can’t really rate the ice cream since they weren’t open, and I haven’t been in at least a few years. Hope this prevents someone else from wasting time or being disappointed. We ended up going over to Charlestown instead and can definitely recommend that

This is the cutest little ice cream place in the middle of the parking lot. It has wonderful workers and great ice cream. It feels like going back in time when summer was slow and simple.

Honestly, I don't understand the draw with this place. I know so many people love it, and that's wonderful! I just don't find sitting in the middle of a loud, concrete parking lot an enjoyable way to indulge in some ice cream. They only have soft serve and the flavors are just blah. Vanilla literally tastes like plain milk - and many others have agreed with me about this. I guess if you're getting a sundae with a bunch of toppings, it works. But, if you're looking for some delicious ice cream flavors to try, this just isn't the place.

Kid-friendliness: Sure. Just watch them close so they aren't running out in front of cars in the Plaza parking lot.

Only ordered 2 milkshakes was the only person in line and they severely messed up the flavors. They are inconsistent with levels of flavoring in Icecream and just use syrups for flavors. Overpriced for what it is.

A wonderful little spot with good serving sizes and gluten-free options. It's in a large parking lot, so not much scenery to stroll as you eat, but otherwise a perfectly lovely little place.

We have been going to Jonathan's for several years. Great Ice Cream, (hard & soft serve), with many unique flavors. A sure stop with plenty of parking for anyone that likes ice cream and visits Springfield. Our dogs also give a paw up to Jonathan's vanilla baby cones.
