Crystal & staff are excellent & very friendly! Had a yummy lunch today as always & got takeout chicken tenders (homemade fresh not frozen) with homemade hand cut fries ! Delicious!

I have tried so many times to like and give this place chances as I really do like the owner but every single and I do mean every single time the food is garbage the service is garbage the decor is way off the catering is to the same old customers nothing is ever ever ever ever consistent sadly it just can not be counted on other than for the gathering g of the elderly

I'll be honest I got pancakes here and they tasted and felt like they were made out of cake batter, not only that but you see pest control in and out of here every other week

Went there one Saturday morning with my Grandpa, I’ve had negative experiences before but was convinced to give it another try. The waitress was great, took out orders and constantly checked in on us. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy, with a side of home fries. Meal came out cold expect for the home fries, and the gravy tasted sour. I mentioned this to the waitress so she offered to take away the meal to substitute it for something else with a New serving of home fries . I order just a plain pancake, and when arrived the pancake was on a smaller plate then the one given to my grandad who ordered a pancake with blue berries. The result was my syrup spilling all over the table. And the chief chose to just give me back my original home fries so they were now cold. After the mess and ate my cold meal I went to wash up and the bathroom was a disgusting mess. I’m glad washing my hand with Bounty paper towels was the only thing I had to do, because I doubt they even bother to refill the toilet paper. After all that I was ready to pay my check, leave this review, and hope to never return.

Very disappointed. Heard many great things about this place so decided to try it for dinner. Looked online and saw they're open until 8pm on Saturday. Got there at 7:15, door was locked, open sign was off, phone was not answered but we saw people coming out with leftovers so they had been open. Will not try going there again, no matter what time or day. And will make sure we share our experience with others when we can!

Good food, but I won't go again. Went to wash my hands and met a kitchen staffer exiting the men's room. He had his apron on - this should stay in the kitchen when using the rest room. He saw me, stopped, went back and washed his hands. Did he forget - this time - or does he only wash when someone watches? I called the manager (Crystal - sp?) to let her know staff needs retraining and she rudely hung up the phone. If she'd been polite and taken this seriously, I would not have posted this review. BTW, I trained 3 years at a Chicago culinary arts college and was licensed by the Illinois Health Dept to operate a foodservice establishment, so I take sanitation very seriously. I hope they will after reading this.
