Mussels were great! Fish and chips were great, especially the sauces they came with. Now the lobster roll may not look like your typical lobster roll but man was it good. The bread was a perfect sweet compliment to it. We were impressed and will be back again. Our waitress was also very attentive and food service was quick and smooth.

Very lovely experience. Our server was superb. We were quite comfortable in our dining experience. They have a vaccination policy that allows us to be more comfortable when dining indoors. Thank you for your due diligence and care of your patrons.

Really enjoyed the new Thursday night buck a shuck oysters followed by the delicious wedge salad, a couple shrimp tacos, and fish and chips. Great service and comfortable atmosphere. Looking forward to a repeat!

The food is fantastic. I can't believe we found a place with such fresh seafood tucked away in Vermont. Plus, there is plenty of local VT beers on tap.

The special “oyster tacos” were phenomenal, calamari and mussels were on Point. The toasted bread they served with the mussels really made it a home run. Service is super friendly and prices are great. Add it to regular spots in Stowe.

We decided to give Big Fish a try based on a friend's positive review and reading that tables are well spaced, since COVID is still with us. Overall our experience was very good. All of the staff, from the greeter at the desk who checked our vaccination cards to our friendly server to the bartender who ran over to make a personal beer recommendation, were lovely. We felt welcome and very appreciated, especially as the restaurant was very quiet on a Saturday night. The food, featuring three fish specials along with a short regular menu, was very good. We had the lobster roll (excellent), deep-fried scup (AKA porgy, different and very good) and the skate wing (also very nice). It is a pleasure to see uncommon fish on a menu and find that the kitchen really knows what it is doing when preparing something not run-of-the-mill, and that was the case at Big Fish -- the cooking was first-rate. The wedge salad was particularly well-prepared and was more than enough for an entrée. French fries were done to perfection. There are just a few wines by the glass, a number of good beer choices, and a good selection of wines by the bottle. The dining room is quite spacious and we felt completely comfortable in our booth, which was a good distance from other diners. The bar here is really beautiful, and we look forward to coming back and enjoying cocktails in the future. Stowe is fortunate to have a new reliable seafood restaurant.

Our family has been to Big Fish twice now and it was great both times! The muscles are the best we have ever had- if you go you must try them- the sauce is amazing! The bread for the buns and sides is local! Not only is the food great but so is the atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!

Sat at the bar for dinner. Had the Cured salmon (amazing!), brisket taco, and fried calamari (went with the Dirty, spicy, style and it was fantastic) for appetizer. Mahi Mahi with steamed greens and roasted potatoes for main course with tiramisu (light and flavorful) for dessert. Great service, great food, nice clean place. I’ll definitely be back!

Might be a seafood place, but they also have the best cheesesteak in town. First time in, but we will be back for sure.

We had dinner here in September and I should have posted a review then. Big Fish is the restaurant that Stowe was missing, daily offering three choices of fresh fish prepared creatively and a small raw bar. What a pleasant surprise to see Jason, a favorite server from another venue in Stowe. We sat near the bar service area and watched him mentor and direct new bartenders. Any restaurant would be fortunate to have such a diversified employee as Jason.
