Very good quality beans and well-made drinks and brews. Highly recommend their raspberry mocha, reishi latte, or just light roast black drip coffee.

Coffee was not great. The Maple cinnamon bun was ok. A little pricey for what it is. Loud pop music that doesn't quite belong in a coffee shop, especially in the morning.

A cute, cosy coffee/sandwich shop. Wonderful coffee and pastries, I didn’t try any of the sandwiches so I can’t speak to those but the coffee was absolutely fantastic! The shop’s atmosphere was warm and friendly, very relaxing after a hike on the recreational trail.
We got a pumpkin roll & chocolate croissant and both were fabulous. I will definitely return!
Two coffees and two pastries were roughly $40 - so keep that in mind.
Wheelchair accessibility: This shop is unfortunately not ADA friendly unless they had a secret back entrance, it requires you to go up about 5 steps.

The good- Cool place, nice people, decent food.
The bad- Ridiculously slow and expensive.
I went here during the day before and it took forever so this morning
I went at 7:00A when they first opened to try to get in and out quickly.
There was only one couple ahead of me. It took over a half hour to get my drinks and one breakfast sandwich. If they were slammed then that wait would be reasonable but like I said I was the second order of the day.
In comparison, in Maine I have a local diner that I frequent. It is usually very busy and short staffed but but I still have my food within 15 mins and my whole breakfast with coffee is like $12.00 and it's all cooked fresh.
I bought one breakfast sandwich, three medium matcha teas, and a small milk chocolate and it came to $45. Teas were lukewarm and the sandwich was pre-made heated up with a paninni press.
I'm not some cheapskate and rarely complain. I don't mind spending some money and leaving a good tip if I'm getting something good.
I own a small business in the service sector.
From one business owner to another, if you're going to charge top dollar then you need to provide top notch services and products.
If you are going to be mediocre that's fine, but you'd better have low prices.
If your breakfast sandwiches take a long time maybe you should have a big sign to warn people. If I knew I would have just got a pastry instead and been perfectly fine with that instead.
My 2 cents

Beware there is a 10% “service fee” added to your order, very deceptive pricing practice. A medium mocha ended up costing $8.50.

Excellent coffee shop on Main St in Stowe. They have a great selection of different types of coffee, lattes, and seasonal teas. They also have some sweet and savory pastries, as well as a limited but good selection of breakfast and lunch options. We ordered a snickers latte and sweet bread. Both were very good and went well together! It got busy quite quickly but we managed to find some seating. Service was fast and good.

Line was wayyyyy too long. I heard clients say they waited an hour to get just coffee. I decided to leave and get coffee elsewhere nearby.

We visited Black Cap Coffee twice during our fall trip to Stowe. I had the Almond Joy latte and the maple latte. Both were great! Their croissants are excellent, especially the maple. Great cinnamon rolls as well.
Be prepared for it to take 30-60 minutes from getting in line to receiving your order if you’re visiting during peak fall foliage, because they get slammed. The building is tiny so you will probably have to stand while waiting. Parking in Stowe is nearly impossible during these times as well. Pack your patience and be ready for it to take longer than expected!

We were in at probably a busy time, there was no one to take our coffee order for 20-25 minutes.
Once the order was in, it was another 15 minutes before we received the simple coffee order and a latte - no food!
Other folks who came after us received their orders :-(.
When i asked the person making the coffee for the latte - all I got was a very ‘attitudinal’ - it’s coming!
Never had such terrible experience, thought it was a great place after reading the reviews. :-(

$33 for two lattes and a lemon bar. Lemon bar wasn’t very good, too acidic. Maple latte was ok, but the lid leaked and sticky sweet latte got everywhere. This place was packed full of tourists, the line was out the door, and clearly they are price gouging.

Good coffee! Internet is terrible so if you plan on working here, it's a no go. Couldn't even hold a zoom call on a laptop. Also the wait times were horrible. Midday reallllly long lines. Bathroom was out of service and they told people to go across the street because it would be a few hours before someone could service it. Latte with flavoring and alternate milk ended up being around $9. Just not worth it
