First time here and it was fabulous! Great view, friendly servers and delicious mac and cheese đ
Great spot to eat but if you are not a skier, hefty lift price adds to bill. Beautiful views.
Awesome views from gondola and the restaurant!
View 10/10
Service 3/10
Food 3/10
Ordered the fancy sounding burger, she said they donât take temp requests and only cook it to medium (I asked for MR since itâs supposed to be Wagu) and it came out well done and sloppy. Hubby got the Mac n Cheese with chicken, the Mac itself wasnât bad but the chicken was like previously frozen boiled chicken, unseasoned and gross.
It wasnât busy, our server took our drink and food order like she had somewhere else to be and then we never saw her again. Had to ask someone else for coffee and the check. For a $100 bill between two people, absolutely not worth the stop at all. Save your money and just get some cheaper stuff down at the lodge cafe.
Canât beat the view!! Mediocre food, kind staff, great spot if you can get a table.
Made a 230 reservation, staff was busy so we got a round of beers by 245, were told we had to order immediately because kitchen is closing. Tried to order another beer and was told the bar is closed, it was 3:04, no warning. Meal was basic cafeteria food, the 27.00 wagyu burger seemed like a frozen patty. 5 kids, 3 adults, the bill was 331.00 after they added 20%. Finished my meal as they pressured us to leave. View was amazing, everything else was overpriced mediocrity.
A very unique experience. We had donut cider, wings, wagyu burger, and Caprese chicken. Everything was good! I highly recommend the wings and the other items we good also. We had an 11am reservation on a Wednesday and it wasn't very busy.
Food is delicious!!! Definitely worth the cost and trek up the gondola. Highly recommend making reservations or getting there right when they open. It fills up fast.
The views from the house are remarkable, food was all right - not too bad. We went on a weekday, so not a lot of people. Take into consideration they only give you an hour to dine though.
Sit down food at the top of Stowe. It was pretty busy on a Monday in the winter-first question I was asked was if I had reservation, which I didnât. She took care of a family of four and got us seats. I like this type of lunch-sit down, with drinks and relaxed. Maybe not everyone (hard core skiers) would like this. Food was great (burger, chowda, chicken fingers).
Restaurantji Recommends
This restaurant would have received no stars if the views were not what they were. Simply put, the views were stunning. The $60 per person ride to the restaurant was not worth it. The food was mediocre at best. For the more expensive prices, I would have thought the food would have been out of this world. I would not recommend
Glad to see Vail is taking a page from Europe, just got back from Les 3 Vallées in France, and the skiing is different, but the restaurants there are excellent on the slopes. From fine dining to just plan great food, reasonably priced or a $400 wagu tomahawk, you decide. If you haven't been, go. I've skied all over New England and CO, but by far, the cuisine is unmatched in Europe. Last year, after I returned, I continued to be disappointed by the $30 French fries and chicken fingers that are often served at the US ski resorts.
Today I read an article about how Vail has changed this restaurant into a dining experience. Next time I'm up there (in a few days), I'm going to have to stop in, try something and report back. I just hope truffle fries don't cost as much as the parking.
I'm glad to see the food game is changing for the better. Let's hear the reviews!
The service and the views are fantastic. The food is better than I expected. Presented the shrimp scampi, the caprese chicken sandwich, and the âchicharronesâ as a starter. Itâs better if you have reservations (specially for groups bigger than 2 people).
Very busy during sky season. Worth the visit. Food is good, service agile and attentive.
This is a pretty good restaurant at the top of the mountain. The portion sizes are small but expensive and the food is good but not wonderful. The staff are very kind and helped us find a seat. From your seat you can see the snow outside on the mountain.
