Raja Restaurant: Biryani & Curries House

The food was tasty and portions were good. However, I ordered the goat vindaloo and there were a lot of small bones in it. Some were stand alone, and some were within the meat. Definitely unacceptable as this could easily present a choking hazard for people or potentially break someone’s tooth while inadvertently biting into it. Additionally, my vindaloo only had 3-4 chunks of meat in it, and the rest was sauce and some large vegetable chunks. Not worth the $16.99.

Really good food!

I placed an online order on a Wednesday and only realized they are closed on Wednesdays when I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order. I've should've checked their hours first, but it's not appropriate to allow customers to place orders-- and have their debit cards charged-- on days the restaurant is closed. I've never seen a restaurant do that before. The next day, I called twice after opening, and no one picked up. I went to the restaurant to get my refund and it was locked with no one inside. Their hours everywhere online and at their lpcation state that they were open and their website was still open to online orders. No signs, no indication about their hours being different or that they're on holiday. Nothing. This is totally unacceptable to charge customers for nothing in return. How scummy.

Yesterday I visited this Indian restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was—full of authentic flavors and perfectly cooked. What made my visit even more memorable was the wonderful service from the girl at the counter. She was not only super cute but also incredibly friendly and professional.
Her smile literally stole my heart. I even told her how cute she was. I’m still smiling thinking about her warmth and charm. This place is definitely worth a visit, not just for the delicious food but also for the welcoming atmosphere created by such lovely staff.

Can’t wait to come back!

Got to try Raja tonight for the first time - an excellent addition to the choices for food in Stowe. Everything we had was great (momos, chow mein, saag paneer) - we will definitely be going back.

Ordered the chicken korma (spice level medium) and butter naan. Spice level was perfect and the portion sizes were very good, I had plenty of leftovers! Absolutely would order from here again

Really really good! Better than we get at home outside of DC. The house made naan was killer!

Best authentic Indian I've had since visiting England! If you like Indian and are in the area, definitely try it. It's not a dine in location however.

We found this place by accident while skiing in Stowe and looking for late-night bites. It’s better than any Indian food we’ve had where we live in Boston, a city with multiple Indian restaurants. I like that if you ask for something to be spicy here, it will be. The food is flavorful and freshly made, and the service is prompt and professional. Fantastic late night meal!

Indian food is one of my absolute favorite cuisines, and this was incredible. Fair price for the portion size, wonderful staff, and really great seasoning. Highly recommend.

This place looks a little concerning when you first walk in, but the food was great! We got butter chicken, goat biryani, and garlic naan. All of them were great! Although the goat biryani was mostly a ton of bones. But overall, a great dinner to-go!

Recently visited this place. Veg curry was okay. Veg Momos: horrible. Chicken Biryani: pathetic.

As an Indian, I highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Indian cuisine. The food is incredibly flavorful and offers great value for the money. Online ordering seems broken, so called the restaurant to order, the food is amazing and authentic. Spicy Lamb vindaloo is spicy, haha, so tasty! Love it, highly recommended!
