Beyond hostile hostess from the minute we walked in, rude staff and terrible service. We have never been treated poorly. I will never go back or recommend this place. They spoke very inappropriately in front of our children and we're completely out of line. This is not the type of service we expect from a Stratton restaurant avoid this place at all costs!

The meal was excellent and the ambience of the restaurant was great; our server was friendly and helpful. My spouse ordered a hot mulled cider but the cider was poor quality so she sent it back and got a glass of wine as a replacement. Sadly, the experience ended on a sour note as I was very disappointed in the dessert which was a chocolate chip brownie sundae - there was no chocolate sauce, the whip cream was poor quality and there were minimal chocolate chips in the brownie which was a bit dry- definitely not worth the calories.

Great location. Our server was welcoming and friendly. Warm ambiance. The only downside was the imposition of a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. That's an annoying practice nowadays.

Our food was excellent! We each had a strip steak with a side of mashed potatoes and French fries, it was cooked perfectly medium rare and was juicy and tender. We started with the burrata flatbread which was also delicious. We ended with a crème brûlée and chocolate brownie with ice cream on top, all very yummy! Our server was very nice but the service wasn't 5/5. It was difficult to get her attention for water refills and she didn't come back to the table to check on us for long periods of time. Maybe it was a one off and she had too many tables. Otherwise it was a great experience.

Longtime Firetower fans, BUT with the new direction of the restaurant, this was likely our last visit. The prices are more than doubled in so.e cases. Aside from prices, a side of dry macaroni and cheese was no more than a quarter cup and was $10. The French onion soup had an ok broth, but one small piece of toast with a light sprinkling of cheese. When we asked the staff about the lack of a major part of traditional French onion soup, we were told that's the way our chef does it. $30 salads, $70 to $100+ steaks...we'll miss the old Firetower experience.

The seasonal drinks were good, but the food was overpriced even though we had decent portion sizes. The ambiance was fine and the bar area was lively!! Will come back but maybe just for drinks.

We should have left when we arrived and the hostess asked if we had reservations (I was told this was not necessary when I called in advance). She sighs, looked instantly stressed and says she will see what she can do. Mind you, there were 4 tables seated with about 8 open...we had to wait 10 minutes for her to decide which of the open 8 could be spared. No other guests came in the entire time we were there...My husband & I ate here during our last night while visiting in September 2025. The cornbread appetizer was the only reason I gave 1 star for the food -- thankfully because it was $20 for one loaf. I got the Chicken Piccata, which was undercooked, the texture of a rubber pork chop and flavorless -- the mashed potatoes were drowning in liquid and also flavorless. My husband got the Chicken sandwich, which was mostly breading and the same texture as my dish. The prices are high, it cost us $120.

While a bit expensive, the food is always good, the service too. Our server remembered us again from previous visits. We rarely go on crowded evenings though...

We got the pork potstickers and arancini as apps. The arancini were small for $18 and lacked flavor. The potstickers weren't any special were overall tasty. For mains we got the bianco flatbread and the burger. The flatbread was burnt and you could tasty the honey despite it obvious drizzle on top; definitely not worth $23. The burger was a good size and pretty good but nothing special. The bottom of the bun was super greasy and basically disintegrated in your hand while eating it. The service fee for use of credit card is a bit ridiculous especially given the prices of dishes and state tax. It ended up being like $65/person which I've had better for that price. It's pretty disappointing that with the high costs, you get mediocre food. Despite the cost of food, our server was friendly and attentive.

Mike the waiter was great Was a little load Large group next to us and a kid yelling in the back round. Food presentation was excellent. Enjoyed the evening The restaurant was comfortable and nice. The hand blown lights from a local artist were a very nice touch. Thanks

Such a pretty location , at the entrance of the pedestrian road in Stratton . The patio is definitely charming and the food was very well presented and nice. the inside of the place is also beautifully decorated . We had a nice lunch after a hike.

Starting with the highlights, Scott, our waiter, is top notch! The seasonal specialty drinks were very good as well. The service was timely and excellent too. However, the experience with the food was spotty. The burrata salad with mushrooms and pea puree fell flat. The Chicken tortilla soup was very nice. For entrees I had the red snapper and was very disappointed. It was not seasoned properly and lacked flavor. The greens were too bitter to eat. The rice was okay at best. I wish I had chosen something else. My dining partner chose the beef short rib and said the risotto was truly excellent but the star of the dish should have been the short rib. It was tender but lacked flavor. For the price points on the menu we expect a truly exceptional meal. Hopefully the kitchen will step up its game moving forward as we love the location did enjoy certain aspects quite a bit.
