My husband and I dined at Three Squares Cafe one afternoon for lunch during our short vacation in Vergennes in late October. My husband got a sandwich, which he really liked, and I got the Soup of the Day (a satisfying and spicy bean soup) served with warm, crusty bread and butter, and a glass of oat milk. The menu (hanging over the counter where orders are placed) is not easy to read, and there is very little seating (I had my doubts as to whether we’d find a place to sit), but all in all it was a tasty place to grab lunch.

Very busy but staff worked quickly and moved the line along. Food was good, not the best I've had but good and served promptly. Very crowded when we were there.

While the Reuben sandwich may have been invented in NY, it was perfected at this great cafe in Vermont!

This was a great spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Small & comfortable. You order at the counter & they bring the order to your table. There are a few outdoor tables. I came for a coffee to go & ordered a sandwich because everything looked so good. I had a fabulous BLT on toasted & flavorful focaccia bread. Generous portion of bacon! Busy place & friendly staff!

Lovely little cafe that serves breakfast and lunch. My family ordered the blt, tuna melt, and Caesar salad which they all said was good. I had the tofu scramble being vegan (see below).

Vegetarian options: As a vegan, there was one dish that caught my eye and I had: the curried tofu scramble with hash browns and toast. It was very tasty tofu scramble. Although breakfast is served all day, the hash browns tasted old and were cold. The toast was also served with butter, which I couldn’t have. There was no vegan substitute offered for the butter which would have been nice being that it was a vegan dish.
