We came for breakfast and I had the Phish Bowl- It was great! Potatoes and veggies were cooked perfectly and the over medium eggs were great! I would highly recommend!

Disappointed. Soup was so salty it was not edible, and this is the corned beef hash. A plate of mashed potatoes. I questioned it that I was told that's the way they come. The hot tea was good.

The maple vinagerette is the best dressing I've ever had in my life. It brought tears to my eyes! I also had the Big Cheese and it was yummy. Loved the feta.

My overall experience at 3 Squares Café was great! The staff were very friendly. I ordered the tuna melt with a side salad, and the maple balsamic vinaigrette was amazing!
The only small detail I noticed was that there was some food on the rim of the plate. While it didn’t affect the taste, a cleaner presentation would have made the experience even better.

If you want an actually good breakfast or lunch in Vergennes, Three Squares Café is the place. The sandwiches are excellent—fresh ingredients, good bread, and actual flavor, which is more than I can say for certain grease pits in town. The place is clean, the staff is polite, and you can eat without fearing for your digestive system. It’s everything a café should be.
But the hours? Absolutely ridiculous. They close so early you'd think they were running a bank, not a café. Show up mid-afternoon? Too late. Want a late lunch? Tough luck. If you don’t plan your day around their schedule, you’re out of luck. It’s as if they serve food as a hobby rather than a business.
So yes, Three Squares is great—when you can actually catch them open. Just check their hours first, or risk the crushing disappointment of staring through the window at the meal you could have had. It's also very cramped inside.

We randomly stopped here on our way to NY state after visiting Shelburne VT. It was really cute. We were having a late lunch and traveling with our granddaughter. There was something on the menu that appealed to each of us. The sandwiches came with a small mixed green salad with an absolutely wonderful maple vinaigrette. Fries were also an option which my grand daughter chose. We all very much enjoyed our lunches. They decor was very cute. You could sit at a table or window seats looking out at the road. Good was ordered at the counter and delivered to your table with cute signage so they could bring food to your table. This was a great find on our day trip!!
