Used to be a cool rustic stop for $5 kraut dogs and some water for a nice mid-mountain break, but now its all bougie-fied and obnoxious, like everything else. $6 bottles of water? Protect Our Winters indeed...
Fun spot to stop at on the way back down! Great friendly service! Line moves fast!

Great little spot to warm up while skiing or boarding. Bathrooms and a charging station for your phone. Don't forget they don't accept cash. I've only eaten a hot dog here but they do have some other food. They also have drinks and some candy bars.

It's a good stop for a break. Fireplace is nice on a cold day.Alterra removed the free water jugs. Now you have to buy $ water.. poor management.Sad ? . Corporate greed.

We took a snow cat up to allyn's lodge near sundown for a dinner at the top of the mountain. The snowcat was bumpy, but not much you can do about that, and the ride was overall very pleasant. The dinner was exceptional, the appraisers, soup, salad, main course (if not a bit rarer than I prefer), and dessert were all amazing. The staff did a perfect job of striking a balance between leaving our group to ourselves and being friendly and social (we especially enjoyed chatting with a member of ski patrol that escorted us down). The lodge it's self was also perfect, with no indication it had been heavily used mear hours before, and a nice table, view, and lighting setup. The ski down was also beautiful. We were provided headlamps, and although awkward to wear they worked well (the guide gave up his own to one of the group members as his light was underperforming). The guide also made sure to stay behind the slowest member of our group. The conditions were also dreamlike (although they can't do anything about that). Overall it was a wonderful experience, albeit a bit on the pricer side, I feel I got what I paid for and then some.
Excellent Knowledgable Staff ?
