“Bought a bag of Heirloom tortilla chips from Bread& Butter Farm. Honestly they are the best chips I have ever had hands down. I'm not a huge fan of sunflower or canola oil but due to the small batches they make it is totally worth it. The bags are medium sized which I like and SUPER fresh. Way to go Burlington!! Another brilliant business!!”
“Had a black bean burger. Was decadent. Or wait, maybe divine. They have a really good selection of bottles. Had something from Pohjala. My favorite brewery from Estonia.Enjoy !”
“Saved my butt by making sandwiches after it looked like he was cleaned up and ready to head home. Wife wasn't feeling well back in the room. Sandwiches were unreal good. Great food and a great guy. Will definitely make this a regular stop.”
“One of the best venues we’ve performed at. The hospitality was unparalleled, the food and drinks were fantastic, the staff was amazing, and the crowd was wonderful!”
“Drive the 7 hours to Sugarbush every year, partly to ski and the other part to experience F2BT yet another time. It's become something I look forward to each year. The authentic thai food is beyond outstanding and so are the drinks. If you're lucky, you'll see a professional music performance by the owner himself! Can't beat it :)”
“I needed something to eat and drink after a seriously awesome morning of riding the mountain. I settled on Castlerock mostly for the full service nature and I wanted to sit at a bar and have a draft beer. I ended up having the grilled cheese with bacon, caramelized onions, and apple butter. OMG I never thought to do sweet onions and apple butter, a stroke of genius. Also for 15$ with some parm fries included I felt like it was a steel given what mountains charge for food. Beer was cold, it was just what I needed before round 2.”
“Hands down the best mountain bar at the bush. The food is incredible and the vibe can’t be beat.Don’t miss the wunderburger. Get an extra side on wunder sauce. Also the chicken bacon ranch is incredible. Love it here. Literally think about when I’ll be getting back during the off season”
“Super friendly and inviting small bar and restaurant. The menu is small but everything is excellent, which we prefer in a venue like this. Nice small stage for live music! Great place for dinner drinks and music!!”
“The Lawson’s Tripple Sunshine is on my husband’s top five list and we just had stop at the brewery before heading to Montreal for St. Patrick’s weekend from NJ. And we are so happy we did! Staff was super friendly and in the spirit! We met Carra who works with the brewery and gave us some awesome tips on how to make the best of our trip! Amazing energy and knowledge of the company’s impact in the community. Not to mention we got to meet Mr. Sean Lawson himself, a very cool cat! ? Amazing time!I had the Brewtifully Bold DIPA and it was my personal favorite! It was light, sour-y, and fruity! Would love to keep permanently on the menu!”
“Friday Night De-lights! The brisket receives this Texan's (and actual 'que home smoker) seal of approval. Can't wait to try the plate ribs and pulled pork.”
“Just a little bakery in Waitsfield that was only doing their walk up window. Only outdoor seating overlooking the river and covered bridge. Quaint setting. Chai Tea Latte was average as was the chocolate chip cookie. The berry scones though were outstanding and worth the trip. The maple trees by the seating area were magnificent and seeing their bright red colors is worth the trip alone.”
“Probably the best tomato soup and grilled cheese I’ve ever had, and my friend who is a chef said the same thing. YUMMY!! They were about to close so we were the only ones there. Ambience a bit lacking but more than made up for it with the quality of the food.”
“4/5/24 first time here. Wow what a cool spot and great pizza! Good beer selection too, well it's VT so that is normal :)Definitely worth the wait...We look forward to returning and eating more!”
“I love the food in Waitsfield and Three Mountain Cafe did not disappoint! Grabbed a tasty egg and cheese with a hash brown inside and a solid latte. And the views from the parking lot aren't bad either!”
“Perfect stop for a quick après ski bite! Order ahead if you don’t want to wait but my family was happy to have a rest after a long day and the pizza didn’t disappoint. Super fresh, perfect thin crust, and gooey cheese right out of the oven. Happy to support this small, locally run business. Cheers from your Canadian visitors, eh!”
“The staff at this place are friendly, personable, dedicated and genuinely caring. You will never find a store as welcoming and friendly, even across all General Stores in Vermont, as this one. Its backcountry feel and warm atmosphere makes it a must-visit for travelers. From old style “Bronze Seal” car leak sealant to birthday candles and freshly baked goods, this store is truly a “general” store.”
“As always, Canteen Creemee can do no wrong. One of my favorite food places period, let alone that they are easily the best place for food in all of Vermont. They are creative, but understand the fundamentals of food tradition. Extremely rare to find a "fusion" style restaurant that doesnt end up just butchering the result, but I am continually intrigued and delighted. I will find any excuse to stop by Waitsfield just to stop here.”
“My husband and I stayed at the Mad River Barn for our friends wedding weekend!! It was absolutely incredible. Taika at the front desk was so incredibly helpful, she went out of her way to help us book massage appointments on the day of the wedding (massage therapists came in special just for us at her request!) and she suggested some great lunch spots. She was always available to help answer questions and had great tips for our stay. We enjoyed breakfast each morning included with our stay - highly recommend it was delicious. Fresh homemade jam, potatoes perfectly seasoned, and homemade granola were great touches to the waffles pancakes and eggs. On the night of the wedding, Dave the owner went above and beyond to personally serve us drinks and apps around a perfectly set up fire pit before dinner. The atmosphere at this venue is a little slice of paradise. Dinner here was out of this world - all the wedding guests said the cast iron chicken, steak and cheese sandwich, and steak special were the best they’ve ever had. We agree! The chef came out to personally greet us too. What an absolutely wonderful stay/dinner/wedding it couldn’t have been more perfect. Thank you to all who helped make it an amazing day!”
“Simple easy menu, fresh ingredients, cold beer. But that ain’t what you come here for. It’s the view, the vibe, the feel. Grab a picnic table on the deck and a beer, if you get it you get it.”
“Great (and unique) food and drink! Service was great. Probably the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever ever ever had! The Get them. Accommodated our large group on short notice too. Will be back!”
“I call my order in every time, they're usually pretty timely. Food is always excellent, consistently good, as is the service. I bring every visitor I have here and it's always a hit.”
“I don’t write a lot of these, but this place is excellent. Had the “Doublewide Burger”. 9/10. Top 10 of my life easily. Next night had “The Duke”. 9/10. The only problem will be having to choose between those two. Pizza, is a little doughy, ask for well done.”
“Witty counter service. Top notch food. Fast turn around. Delicious. Can’t beat the hours! Or the chicken.. told by my fiancé the photo was not the right angle. Posted anyway. Take that ”
“I was in town for an event and was happy with the location, food and drinks available. Two dinners and two breakfasts on site made life easy; the bar was welcoming and enjoyable after a long day.”
“Went in with a group of 5 of us. We were immediately seated without a reservation. I ordered the steak, medium, and had a couple of Jamesons. Generous pour on the drink which I appreciated. The steak was a little over cooked. It came with fries which were really just okay. I will say the creme brulee was really good, definitely try that. The rest in the party had the hamburgers which they said were really good. For the price point I should have ordered the burger. Our server was informative and friendly. Overall it was good experience but not a 5 star experience imo. Nice for dinner after a hard day of skiing.”
“We hired Nomad Coffee for a post wedding celebration of 100+ people and we’re so glad we did! They brought a super classy full service latte bar and offered great, friendly service and delicious drinks. It was such a fun, unique addition to the party! The special touches like custom stamped cups with our wedding hashtag made the experience all the more awesome. Don’t hesitate to hire these friendly, professional, and talented baristas!”
