Great hostel to stay for skiing at Sugarbush and Killington. Owner is a very friendly guy who wears an Elmer Fudd hat.

We have stayed here many, many times and on an off-holiday weekday there's a chance that you'll be in a room alone, otherwise you might be sleeping in a room with possibly several strangers ...It's really well kept and clean. There are several rooms of varying sizes and temperatures, I remember we stayed in one that was so hot, usually we stayed in what I think is the dorm and it's usually much cooler. The bathrooms are clean and nice. The bar and restaurant is excellent and certainly a reason to stay there.Very cool/cute/quirky decor.Food & drinks: There's an excellent bar and eating area. The ambience is excellent and good enough to travel to.

Great place to stay, if you are skiing solo at Sugarbush. That was my case during Christmas 2022. Place is very welcoming. Rooms and bathroom are in a good shape. Fireplace room was also a nice addition. Oh, and there is free breakfast (nothing too fancy, but there are extra calories for the morning). When I stayed there, hostel was almost empty. Hence, it may not be the most representative experience. As it is typical with hostels, bathrooms are in limited supply, so their use may require additional planning, when hostel is more occupied.

This hostel exceeded all expectations, i made so many new friends and the convenience of the restaurant Deco being in the hostel and it being only 6 mins from sugarbush and 14 mins from Mad river was amazing, between the comfortable fireplace room and the complimentary hot coffee and muffins in the morning this just felt more like a home away from homeNearby activities: Very close to multiple ski mountains in the areaFood & drinks: Deco offered delicious food and drink

Everything you could want from a hostel. Charming house, very clean, well maintained, modern bathroom and shower, good pillow, warm comforter, and comfy mattress. The owner is friendly, welcoming, and great to chat with. Strong recommend!

I stayed here for 5 days and very much enjoyed my experience. Ryan and Justin are both fantastic hosts and do their best to make your time at the hostel a welcoming one. They're friendly, talkative, and give great suggestions. The hostel itself is clean/secure and is a good vantage point for seeing nearly the entire state of VT.

Group of 6 of us passed through bike packing the GMGG and spent the night here. Great stop on the route. Super friendly service. Food and drink on point at the restaurant and bar. Very biker friendly. Coffee and muffins in the morning got us ready for climb up and over Lincoln Gap.

i got takeout so bear in mind this review only has to do w/ food rather than the other parts of the dining experience. i got the chicken and waffles. the chicken was well seasoned but pretty dry and the waffle was savory, so the maple syrup balanced it out well. as a born and raised vermonter, i definitely needed more maple syrup than they gave me (i'm sure if you were dining in you could definitely get extra though). good quality syrup. i needed about double the amount of syrup and the chicken was still dry. it tasted pretty good though.i have been here previously and got the grilled chicken sandwich (takeout as well) which i thought was VERY good, so i think it really varies by menu item.

Very nice, clean, comfortable hostel created from a cool old house. Great location as well, right at the northeast corner of the Green Mountain NF, with great opportunities for hiking and exploring close by, and also not too far from a number of other popular destinations like Waterbury, Stowe, Camel's Hump State Park, Mount Mansfield State Forest, etc. Also has a really nice bar/restaurant where I had a fantastic breakfast. Ryan the host is very friendly and welcoming (as were the bar/restaurant staff), and has done an awesome job with this place. Exceeded my expectations all around, and I really appreciated the ability to stay in such a nice place for such an affordable rate in an area where most other lodging can be pretty pricey. Unless you are just really not open to hostel-style lodging, I highly recommend staying here if visiting this area of Vermont. First place I would consider staying if I get to visit the area again.

Some friends invited me to brunch, we sat outside on the deck but inside was nice. The owner Ryan is such a nice guy and talked with us ; I asked to hear more about the hostel. The bartender today wasn't very friendly but the Bloody Mary was good, it just took way too long to get a drink before brunch. The food was good and it came out pretty quickly, I had the Salmon Benedict and hash browns, it was delicious!!! The waiter was good and friendly, I would definitely go back. I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn't for the bartender.
