When in Vermont, you HAVE to visit the Ben & Jerry's Factory. The place is on the way to other attractions that are a must-see in Vermont. We first started with the tour. The tour collects in the gift shop that has fun branded things to buy as well as their ice cream!! The tour was cute. It wasn't long. They took us through the factory and the process of making the ice cream. We ended the tour in the test kitchen where we got to sample some of the new Churro ice cream, which was delish! They have a shop where you can buy cups, cones, and even a HUGE sundae to share. The ice cream shop itself got really busy with patrons. I also wish there were more Vermont-exclusive flavors. The only one they had had nuts in it, so I decided against it. In the summer, they have tables that you can sit out outside and the garage door of the scoop shop looks to open which creates a nice al fresco situation. There is a photo op with the Ben and Jerry's van. Next, head over to the flavor graveyard! Notes: Buy your tickets in ADVANCE. They are only open on certain days, so plan ahead.

We decided to do the touristy thing and stop at Ben&Jerry's while passing by. It was a nice break in the trip to get our stretch our legs and check our the flavor graveyard. Be advised in the winter it is a straight hill of ice and you proceed with your own risk and caution. It was interesting to see all the flavors they've "retired" and "resurrected" over the years. The main part of the factory offered tours in which they cannot promise production is occurring during the tour , which to me defeats the purpose of a paid tour. They have a gift shop which plenty of merchandise to choose from but is rather overpriced for what it is just to have their logo and name on it. You can also take photos and enjoy the outside seating area in warmer weather. You can also order ice cream inside but be prepared for the price gouging as it is $6.10 for a tiny child sized cone with minimal ice cream. All in all it's a nice experience just be prepared if you want to do anything there that isn't free to spend a decent chunk of money.

A fun factory tour! Make sure you reserve your tickets online to avoid finding out you have a long wait or have they're sold out of spots for the day. The best part is all the ice cream available to try out, whether you're on the tour or not!

This the Ben & Jerry's HQ. Parking is free. You can just park & get ice cream if you want. Or you can pay for the tour and get a free sample. Of course, there is a gift shop and you can buy some pints to go. No visit to this part of VT is complete without a little peace, love and ice cream.

This was a fun stop on our weekend trip to Stowe! I recommend going on the tour - pretty cool to see the assembly line and our tour guide was quite knowledgeable. You also get to try a pre-selected flavor at the end of the tour. Would've been nice to try a couple flavors but at least they give you a pretty decent sized sample. The tour is also relatively cheap (although also quite short and there's not a whole lot to it!) The flavor graveyard is also worth a look. If you're in the area, I'd recommend checking this place out!

2023 Vermont Visit, what else can you say other than it's ice cream and loads of it... Crazy flavors, lots of options, it's not really fair priced but it's more about experience. Yours book up fast, we did NOT get one, sad since we will probably never be up in that area again, that's minus 1 star.

Me and my friends did the $6 tour. We had a great tour guide and it lasted about 15 minutes. You learn about the company, how ice cream is made, and then get to have a little sample. Fun experience if you're killing some time or wanna learn more ab B&J. Cool flavors in the shop as well.

A friend and I made an entire trip to Vermont happen because of the Ben and Jerry factory. We shared a love for B&J's ice cream so the tour here was a must. They have special flavors to try here and the tour was a fun way to learn more about how the ice cream is made. Lots of social media moments to choose from around the property.

Calling all ice cream lovers! This will be your paradise! Visiting/touring the Ben and Jerry's factory was the center around our trip to Vermont and we just couldn't wait! Make sure you set an alarm and buy tickets 2 weeks in advance to when you want to visit. Sometimes they sell out fast, so better safe than sorry. We booked the 2:30pm tour time and we're able to watch a nice video, get a glimpse of how the ice cream is made (no photos allowed) and of course, sample! After the tour is over, you can enjoy a wide variety of ice cream flavors. We waited in line 40 minutes to get our ice cream and apparently sometimes it's even worse. Pay attention to what special flavors they are trying out on the tour. You will be able to secretly order it at the counter (not on the menu). We did this with a walnut flavor. So good. Make sure you stop by the graveyard too! You'll see the resting place of retired flavors. Highly recommend!

This is a fun stop if you're in the vicinity of this small factory. You can make a reservation two weeks in advance of your visit online to get your tickets and the price is very reasonable. The tour is lots of fun and not too long and at the end of of the tour you get to have a sample of their delicious ice cream, if you don't want to wait for the sample, you can purchase ice cream but be prepared to wait in line. This is a cute stop and the gift shop has lots of cute items to purchase.

This is a rather large factory - I wasn't expecting it to be quite so large. There's a parking lot, right next to which is situated a 'flavor graveyard' which is essentially just a collection of fake gravestones with the names of flavors of ice cream which have been discontinued. There are cheesy quotes with each of them about how people didn't like them enough to continue them. On the way up to the factory itself is a small playground for kids. The factory includes a tour which I did not go on but has a rather large patio area outside with lots of seating (and an incredible view of Stowe) as well as a set of windows where they sell ice cream. The flavors are (I think) more extensive than your average Ben and Jerry's. Beware, that the waffle cones are extremely large! They also have shakes and other items. I think it's definitely worth a few minutes of your time to stop by here.

Cool tour! Especially for how cheap it is. We got a sample of cookie dough chunks as well as sweet cream & cookie ice cream. Our tour guide was fun and puny, and the tour was informative. The only disappointment was how long the ice cream line was. It was at least an hour wait which seems ridiculous, so we skipped it. Otherwise the tour itself was neat!

Solid 4 stars! I wish they did more with this place because they could and I'm sure families would be happy to spend the day there and enjoy more ice cream fun! The tour was quick, then we got ice cream, took some pictures, checked out the flavor graveyard and left. There is also a playground which was a nice touch.

Came here on a trip with my fiancée. It's definitely a touristy place you must check out. They open at 10a, so make sure you're aware of their times. The parking lot is fairly large. It's awkwardly shaped and moves 1 way.The first thing we did was check the cemetery with the retired flavors out to rest. It's quite a walk, so be prepared and have relaxing shoes! There's a large playground for the kids. There's an inside eatery where you can order ice cream. We didn't order anything. It was expensive, so we passed. We walked around a bit. It was a cool place to see. There's no cost to visit. No tickets are required for entry. This is a nice spot to spend a couple of hours if you have time.

A must-go when in Vermont! I love everything that Ben and Jerry's stands for and will happily support everything the company does! We went for a factory tour (30 min), and tickets should be bought in advanced online, but we were able to snag tickets last minute in person! Of note, tour tickets are not purchased in the same building as where the tour takes place, but outside in a small shack. The tour includes a short video about the company's history, viewing of the factory (and hearing about how the ice cream is made), and samples! We had chocolate chip cookie dough, which was delicious as always. The ice cream sample of the day was dirt cake, which I have never tried, but it was reminiscent of cookies and cream. If you have any food allergies or intolerances, there are alternate options! The tour guide was super kind, as well as all of the staff there! There is a gift shop at the end of the tour (though you don't need to go on the tour to access!) with lots of fun souvenirs. The cashier was thoughtful at examining our items to make sure it was of excellent quality, and even had us get a different mug that met his standards! We of course had to get ice cream, and tried out the phish food and the berry berry extraordinary sorbet. The phish food was deliciously chocolate with marshmallow chunks, while the berry berry sorbet is a wonderful non-dairy option and super refreshing on a hot summer's day. There is also a playground outside for kids, and the Flavor Graveyard where you can see all of the playful flavor names that have since been retired. Overall, a wonderful time here, and will definitely be back!
