Beautiful tasting room and easy access if you're just passing through! There is plenty of parking and other things to do including a Cabot's creamery, a chocolate shop and a sandwich shop for lunch! The tasting room is small with a single counter for tasting and a wall of bottles for purchase but it's well worth the wait if needed. You can even sample the syrups while you wait for free! My husband and I stopped in to do some tasting. Huntley was very gregarious and once she found out that we were from Maryland she told us that she was a Maryland transplant and still loved the Orioles! We tasted a lot of different things, from pure maple syrup to maple bourbon but our favorites were the maple cream and the maple bourbon cream. We stopped in on a whim and are glad we did. My friend did the $5 tasting and tried some unique bourbon. I liked the cream liqueur, made with real cream. I found fancy maple syrup and the different colorations are from the syrup being aged in different barrel types. I fancied the bourbon barrel aged maple. We enjoyed talking to the staff members (owner?), who was knowledgeable and gave us interesting tidbits of history. Ask about how Smuggler's Notch got its name.
