Visiting Chelsea Royal Diner is always a treat! The staff are super friendly, attentive and patient. Their classic American menu has a plethora of comfort food, so even picky eaters have options! I can especially recommend their mac & cheese ?

I love classic diners and this place did not disappoint. The pancakes were super fluffy, the coffee was hot and delicious that they get from a local coffee shop, and the prices were very reasonable. Make sure you check their special board or ask your server for a recommendation. They were all super friendly and helpful. The best thing is that I live so close! Definitely will be back soon before they close for the season.Vegetarian options: There were several options available.Kid-friendliness: There were many families enjoying a nice breakfast out together.Parking: There was plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: ADA accessible

On our way to the Green Mountains Forest, we dropped by this place for a quick breakfast. They seemed to be quite popular among the locals, but we were able to grab a table at the old railroad car section without a wait. Our server was very friendly, and when we asked for something else besides the rye bread for our sides, she made some great accommodations for us. Among the menus we ordered, we really enjoyed the cajun skillet breakfast and the vermonter omelette. Char-grilled steak was the only thing that we found to be mediocre.Overall, it was definitely worth the few mile detour we took, and if you’re looking for a good local diner in the area, this is undoubtedly the one to go to.

Situated in West Brattleboro in a really cute antique rail car, I wasn't sure what to expect. Would this be a classic Jersey greasy spoon or home made restaurant? Color me surprised when it turned out to be a perfect mix of the two - all the good, none of the bad! My husband ordered the homemade corned beef eggs Benedict and I ordered the steak and eggs. The homemade corned beef was delicious and the eggs were cooked to perfection. But my steak and eggs caught me by surprise! Breakfast steak is notoriously hard to perfect - usually a thinner slice with lighter seasoning and it takes a soft hand to not over cook it. The chef nailed it. It was perfect. Medium rare, juicy, perfectly seasoned. Don't sleep on the home made biscuits either! Very yummy! Portions were perfect, the atmosphere was quaint and everything was better than expected. I'll be back!

Not a bad place for an easy, quick meal for breakfast or lunch. I've never been for dinner. It's not as good as it used to be, however. (I'm talking like 5 years ago it was so much better. ) The waitress was the only one who made the experience worth it. The food wasn't bad, but could've been better and the prices lower for the smaller servings they had. The inside used to feel cozy and friendly. Instead it felt dirty and lacked any real luster. Not a bad place to go if you're not looking for anything special, or you want to dine outside as it's got a very nice spot for that. But wouldn't recommend with small kids or on a first date... ;)Parking: Large dirt parking lotWheelchair accessibility: They only had ramps and large entry points.

Seems like a popular place...Three people with tip, bill for breakfast $82.20!Best part was the home made jam! And my breakfast company.Corned beef hash, 2 poached with raisin toast. I tasted green pepper and mushy potatoes.

Had a late breakfast/early lunch last week. It was a little disappointing, as the hashbrowns & sausage were quite greasy. Which makes me think they’re cooking in fat that is not quite hot enough! That being said another one of our party had a delicious special burger. And we had the best waitress and everybody there is super super friendly and kind!!

Not a bad place to stop crossing your way through the green mountains of Vermont. Two weary travelers pulled off the road to get some food and rest and were amply rewarded. The grilled cheese with tomato and the cheeseburger were pretty good. Service with a smile and clean restrooms. A nice setting outback with picnic tables overlooking a nice meadow. Price is very reasonable and food a little above average. #stevensleavin

There might have been a 20 minute wait to get in. But once sitting, we were waited on timely, she was super nice, and the food didn't take long to get to us. We all loved what we got and for 3 people it wasn't very much either.Always has been my number 1 recommendation for breakfast, always will be!

A Vermont diner with locally sourced ingredients and tasty breakfasts. The sunflower bread is always a hit! Omelettes, pancakes, specials...all lovingly prepared.

The food was absolutely gross! The handcut fries were stale and burnt, definitely not fresh. The cheeseburg was paper thin, all we could taste was the bread. My suggestion would be keep driving by don't stop. Service was not great either, never asked how the food was etc.

Always a pleasure for breakfast and though the orders can sometimes take time to process well worth the wait. Try the Popeye's omelet. The local baked wheat toast and jam are delish.

Fish fry and cider was a perfect Friday night dinner. Add in the homemade redskin mash... dreamy!

Nice road-trip break at a classic Vermont diner. All the classic dishes you expect plus an ice cream stand and food truck. There's a nice apple tree grove in back shading areas with 9 picnic tables for outdoor dining.
