Stopped in early October on the way to camp. The Vermont burger was big and flavorful, and the fries were excellent—crispy and well-seasoned. The local beer was solid. The atmosphere leans rustic, which fits the area, though it felt a bit dim inside. Staff were friendly and attentive. It’s worth a stop if you're near Brattleboro and want something hearty and satisfying.
We very much enjoyed our meal at the New England House. The salmon was perfectly prepared. We also enjoyed the salad and cooked vegetables. The restaurant has a down home feel. The staff and waitresses were very friendly. Worth a visit.
Nice stop for lunch in the middle of long car ride. My grilled pesto chicken on a roll was excellent - the chicken breast was cooked perfectly and tender. My wife had the lobster roll which she liked. My cousin like the sandwich too.
Service was quick and with a smile.
Atmosphere was nice old New England with antiques on the walls.
