I like all of their meals and literally have arranged my travel plans to have their chicken and biscuits on Mondays. The portions and prices are excellent. You are treated like family here.

Hometown cafe serves up a great breakfast for a decent price. It's like being in your neighbors kitchen.

Got the biscuit and sausage gravy with a chocolate chip pancake. I was not disappointed. The biscuit was soft and the sausage gravy was nicely seasoned and peppery. I did wish my pancake had more chocolate

Great find for breakfast. Mary's was on our way to the Adirondacks. The service was, attentive without hovering. I had the biscuit and gravy there were large chunks of sausage in the milk based gravy and home fries with onions and peppers . Dinner is in a home setting with tables and a bar. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive.

We were there early on a Saturday, it was not very busy at that hour. Still our food took 20 minutes, the eggs were underdone and toast wasn't toast~ it was just warmed bread, the omelet had a hair in it. Bacon and home fries were good. Coffee was also good. Our waitress either hates her job or was having a bad day. No friendly greeting, no pleasant attitude, no customer service. When she brought our food she held the plates in our faces instead of putting them on the table. When she brought the drinks, she said "where do you want these?" On the table would be great, thanks. We put down cash for the bill and asked for change. We got an eye-roll as she walked away. She brought back a large bill for change instead of breaking it down so we could leave a tip. Maybe she thought we'd leave a 50% tip? No, sorry. So we asked to have it broken down. She tried again, closer this time but still not ideal. She was clearly annoyed when she handed it to me and said "Is that good enough?" She needs to be properly trained. I won't be back anytime soon. I know it's hard to find good help, but some supervision and direction will make a better experience for everyone, and tips will be better, which will help with staff retention and better service in the long run.
