No hot food available, only cold premade sandwiches or salads offered. They claimed they dont have a grill any more, very disappointed as I was told that they're famous for Mac and cheese, which wasn't on menu due to no grill yet mac and cheese can easily be made in an electric crockpot... even Stewart's makes it that way!

Creemees are hollow! We ordered some creemees and they swirled in onto the cone so it looked like a lot but then once you started eating it, it was hollow in the middle-ice cream around an empty core above the cone! I’ve never had an ice cream hollow like that. The taste was good but I felt ripped off

Everything you could ask for in a Vermont country restaurant. We loved the atmosphere.

Basic food that we enjoyed eating outside on a nice day. The onion rings were easily our best lunch choice. The hamburger and the daily special (sort of a chicken pot pie with tasteless dried-out biscuits) were satisfactory. Dining options are limited in Weston.

I had the cob dog and she had the Mac and Cheese. The dog lacked taste and really didn’t have much flavor. Only ate half as it was just not cutting it. She ate roughly half too, saying it was average at best. Really both dishes were bland.

We came to Weston in late September to visit the Vermont Country store and see some fall follage. Due to covid we ordered at the outside window but were able to eat at an inside table. The sandwiches we had were absolutely delicious. A cob dog with sauerkraut, dill pickles, Vermont cheddar and mustard was the best dog ever. If we're back in the area again we will definitely stop there.

Eating at Mildred's Grill is like getting a big warm hug! I've been in town doing a show called Woody Sez at Weston Theater Company. I think I've eaten here five times in the last week. Everything I've tried has been delicious and they always greet me with a big smile. The items I've most enjoyed are the veggie burger and chicken and dumplings. Plus they have black raspberry soft serve ice cream. And right next door is the Vermont Country Store! How lucky for me that I live across the street. They'll be seeing a lot of me!

A fun place to grab a snack or light meal after shopping at the iconic Vermont Country Store. You can eat inside, outside on one of their picnic tables while under a roomy tent or while sitting on a glider swing with a convenient table for your food. The food choices are varied, well priced and appeal to anyone looking for a snack, lunch or a cold drink. And don't miss the Wilcox Ice Cream and delicious Maple Creemees! My favorite!

I was absolutely shocked to walk into this place, discovering that the Bryant House, a charming throwback to old New England that served outstanding "down home" food amid wonderful ambiance, was gone. In its place is this pathetic do-it-yourself joint that could be found in any suburban strip center in America. I have been visiting the Vermont Country Store, and dinng at the Bryant House, for over SIXTY years. It was heartbreaking to see one more example of the "quick and easy" dining that has taken over America replace what was a gem. Shame on the Vermont Country Store, though after the initial shock I can't say, upon reflection, that it comes as a total surprise. The Country Store itself, as it has morphed into a big business, has gradually lost more and more of what made it a special place years ago. It's former charm has largely been lost. Sadly, one more bit of true "Americana" has been swallowed up by the market.

In spite of having a major tourist attraction, Weston is a very small town with a very limited selection of places for lunch. The day we were there, it was either Mildred's or go hungry. Post-Covid seating at picnic tables under a large tent was quite comfortable. Ordered the ham and cheese on a roll with lettuce and tomato - it came grilled on a light-rye without lettuce and tomato, but it was actually pretty yummy.

Weston, Vt is a very small town. But it has a major tourist attraction - the Vermont Country Store - that draws hundreds of visitors every day. So where to have lunch? When we were there (a typical late August Thursday), the only option in town was Mildred's. There is another sandwich place across the road, but it was closed. There may be a slightly upscale place, but its on the outskirts of town (and not where most tourists would see it as they enter Weston), and we only recognized it for what it was because the owner of the gallery next to the Country Store had told us about it. So, Mildred's is the place for lunch. Wife and I had lunch there many years ago - pre-Covid. Our reaction at the time was that it was OK although the menu was limited. This time - after Covid, we ordered at the outside window and ate at a picnic table under a large tent. Actually, in many ways, I think this was better because there was no way that it could be interpreted as anything other than meeting basic nutritional requirements. We wanted a light lunch - so we shared a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. And it was actually very good - lots of very tasty ham with some really good Vermont cheddar, grilled on a rustic and flavorful bread. Wife thought it was some kind of Vermont country bread, while I thought it might be a light rye. But it was still very good. I will say that it wasn't what I thought I was ordering - the posted menu said the ham and cheese came with lettuce and tomato on a roll.

Went on June 14th. Ordered 2 turkey sandwiches with lettuce, tomato and cranberry mayonnaise. Turkey was sparse. Who uses cherry tomatoes cut in half on a sandwich? The roll was cold and dry. Sweet potato fries were good. To expensive for the quality.

Best grilled cheese I’ve ever had. Lovely service. Spacious seating. I went when stopping at the Vermont Country Store, and I hope to take the whole family there.

Nice selection of sandwiches, good quality food in a nice setting. Not a typical greasy dinner. Vegetarian options , would recommend.

We stopped here after shopping and limited options for lunch. Wife had ham cheddar on sour dough and I had Vermont cheddar burger. Good size sandwiches with good flavor. We both had a cup of New England clam chowder which was excellent as well. Didn’t like the big oyster crackers but don’t like oyster crackers anyways. Would stop here again.
