I had the pleasure of dining at The Left Bank for my birthday, and without question, it was the best meal I’ve had in decades. Since moving to Vermont, we’ve struggled to find restaurants that meet our standards — most places have been disappointingly mediocre and overpriced, leaving us to cook at home more often than not. As self-proclaimed food snobs, we had nearly given up on dining out entirely.

Then came The Left Bank.

From the moment we sat down, every bite was exceptional — from the warm roll served at the start, to the vibrant beet salad, to what was quite possibly the most delicious chicken I’ve ever tasted. It was perfectly seared, expertly seasoned, juicy, and served with a crisp, golden skin that was nothing short of perfection. I still can’t stop thinking about it.

The cocktails and desserts were equally outstanding — and with the news that they’re opening a bakery across the street soon, we are already counting the days.

This level of quality, care, and execution is what you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. In fact, The Left Bank absolutely deserves that level of recognition.

Our dinner for two, which included four cocktails, two salads, two entrées, and two desserts, came to $300 with tip. Pricey? Perhaps — but in this case, it was worth every penny. You truly get what you pay for, and we’ll happily return again and again.

The Left Bank delivers what so many places promise but rarely achieve — a truly unforgettable dining experience. Bravo.

We made the short drive from where we stayed in Ludlow, and fell in love with Weston in general. Left Bank is a winner— great drinks, outstanding French menu, all attached to an Inn that we intend to plan a weekend around visiting. This is a lovely place to come as a family, we played games while dining on the patio outside.

We had a lovely meal last Sunday.
The short rib burger is winning the “Best Burger” award!! Steak was perfectly cooked with a delicious chimichanga sauce .
Oysters and escargot and cocktail and intimate atmosphere, all worth the 50 minute drive. It’s a little bistro worthy of the title.
A french bakery is near completion across
The street. Attention to details in the
Decor also get accolades
Hotel room pics look very ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Simply put, not only one of the best restaurants in VT, but I’d argue that it’s one of the best in the nation, and I spent my entire professional life dining in some of the best in every city. Not to be missed.

The best restaurant in the region! Excellent hospitality, high quality food and wines. A very pleasant dining experience. Wish the guest rooms were more reasonably priced consistent with their restaurant prices. Feels unnecessarily exclusive.

We dined at the Left Bank for the first time Friday night. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our server, Sharma, was the best. She heard every word, picked up on nuances, and was always ckg back without being overbearing. She was super. The servers were serious and efficient. Well trained. The food was delicious and well put together as a meal. Want more. And that chocolate mousse cake is to eat until you die. The atmosphere is relaxing. Feel comfortable can dress relaxed but the interior envelopes you in a classy dining experience. As we left, the staff was so lovely. Will be dining there again and more.

This is truly a gem of a restaurant no matter where it was located, but set in quaint, Weston Vermont, just adds to the mystique. I have eaten here dozens of times as well as all restaurants within 50m of The Left Bank. This is by far the best restaurant of any I have visited!
The Left bank delivers on every front. The staff are all knowledgable, warm and friendly. The setting, decor and layout are wonderful, warm and inviting. It is very tastefully decorated and the fire is an added surprise.
First spotlight, John at the bar. He is perfection in motion behind the bar. He knows what you want or need before you do, he engages at just the right time and never too much. He is the quiet professional who is full of surprises when you speak with him. He makes every visit special!
Second spotlight, Matt, the manager and Sommelier. He is also very professional, engaging and offers the best wine advice! Matt always makes us feel welcome and special and checks in throughout the meal. He runs an excellent front of house!
Third spotlight, Brett, Chef extraordinaire! His specials are fabulous, the regular menu is done flawlessly, I particularly love the Sable special, Steak Frites, Chicken, all his sides and shellfish. The oysters that he sources each week are always superb! The man is gifted in the kitchen.
Finally I want to note how impressed I am to see everyone pitching in serving, clearing and checking on guests. The universal work ethic and attention to detail really makes this the full experience.
The Left bank has it all and we will continue to be there often! Please don't change a thing other than freshening the menu seasonally and keeping me in wonderful wines!

The food was incredibly delicious and first rate. The service was friendly and outstanding especially our server Lisa. The restaurant is exquisitely decorated and gorgeous. The Left Bank is as good as it gets! We’ve been skiing snd dining in Vermont for decades. Don’t miss the chance to experience one of the best restaurants in Vermont.

The Left Bank was the perfect place for my birthday dinner! It was fabulous from start to finish. Bruce, our server, was lovely, as was the rest of the FOH staff. Judging by the excellent food — we had the chicken, duck, fondue, Brussels, and crème brûlée — the BOH is phenomenal as well. We hope to return!
