Hard to spot, across the street from the Hartford Municipal Building but an absolute treasure...I can't believe I didn't know about this place until just today. Incredibly fresh, inspired sandwich creations, fun sides (I resisted the homemade chips but they looked amazing), a high energy staff and bare but groovy dine-in vibes. I will now eat here every chance I get.

Are there for the first time two weeks ago had pastrami bunnies and an order of fries that the menu said came with jalapeno aioli sauce. The supposed pastrami tasted like roast beef (0 pastrami flavor and fatty) and the fries came with ketchup not the jalapeno sauce. Not at all impressed considering with tip it cost $30.00.

Stumbled upon this place by accident and hungry. Ordered my first Cubian. Took one bite and said that man can cook meat!. Absolutely one the best sandwichs I have ever had...reminds me of my first Rubin. I am left with a predicament. Do I try a different Cubian or drive 150 miles for the sandwich I really want.

Menu is updated frequently, so plenty of new dishes to try each time. The food is delicious and rich, and the portions are huge.The staff is very friendly and takes very good care of the guests.

I just had the best Cuban sandwich I’ve had in years. Friendly people, local meat that’s locally butchered, and incredible well priced food has made this my new favorite lunch spot. Plus their ranch is house made, and the fries come with a delicious cheese powder coating. I also highly recommend their Chef and Butcher restaurant(presented by Funkalicious) next door that serves dinner. The braised beef risotto is a treat.

This place is great ? so many enticing choices that it so hard to pick just one for lunch! So I got some sliced pastrami, kielbasa and house made pickles and chips for later! Wowza! ???

Funkalicious is the bombdiggity!! The moment you walk through the door, the smells of all their yummy food fill your nose with such delight! The entire atmosphere there is very inviting and comforting. I'm completely in love with their food, every bite I take is like winning the lottery! The flavors swirl perfectly together while dancing the mambo on my taste buds! Aside from the food being top-notch amazing, the staff is absolutely wonderful! They all are very nice, welcoming, and are super knowledgeable on all the products they have to offer.If you haven't yet tried Funkalicious, take the time to do so, you won't regret it!

Great place! I got the house Italian and it was absolutely delicious. Also recommend the chix in straw chips. I wish I lived in the area so I could come here regularly.

Funkalicious has funked my world up!! I come here almost every Friday and its always a blast, inside is colorful, the staff are all awesome from my experience, and they always get my order right. Most importantly is the food, which is fantastic as well. I love supporting this business, and it's worth a stop by!

Husband came home from work after flying Amazon packages around the world ? for everyone #includingme. Wanted to make him a special home cooked meal as he's always on the road. Stopped Funkalicious Market opesed to the Co-Op for fresh steak and scallops #firsttime. I have to say we where absolutely impressed! The quality of meat and seafood was so tender and tasty ?! Definitely exceed our expectations and you get what you pay for!
