We are so glad we had a chance to get to this place at end of ski season. It was so good, fab ambiance and great staff. Such a bummer we just tried now! But now we have something to look forward to when we are back in Vermont. In summer or next ski season. ?

My fiance and I had an absolutely wonderful experience here for Valentine's dinner. The atmosphere was beautifully set. The service was impeccable. And the food was amazing. It was extremely well presented, hot, fresh, and the most important part delicious. If I had to nitpick one thing, it was the few minutes I had to wait for another drink. However, my patience resulted in a perfectly spaced second drink to finish the meal.

Outstanding menu. Very pleased with our overnight stop at the White House Inn and dinner here. Food from the rustc bread to appetizers and entrées were delicious. Friendly, knowledgeable wait staff. Good wine and cocktail menu.
Charming atmosphere and a nice menu. This was our second visit and found the food consistently good. The bar area is quite nice. I would suggest lowering the lighting would improve the atmosphere even more in the bar area.

The establishment is beautiful however the food (and the bill), not so much. The appetizers (crab cakes and chowder) were the restaurants saving grace. The salmon and pastas we ordered were subpar. The flourless chocolate cake was dry and not fresh. The service was stiff and not inviting. Will not be returning.

Food AWFUL! Service mediocre The host is frazzled and inconvenienced constantly! Drinks blah! I had the pomodoro it was awful. My friend had the short ribs. They were so fatty she could barely eat any. My other girlfriend had the steak and it was so rare despite ordered it Medium. The martinis were weak. Do not waste your time or money.

Our waiter Dan was great! We not only had great service but the food was phenomenal. Every plate was cleaned all the way down to the dessert plates. We will definitely be back and this will be a staple dinner for our trips to Vermont.

We were looking for a place to stay for my uncles funeral... Decided on the White House... The restaurant was absolutely perfect. Service was great staff was attentive. Food was freshly made drinks at the bar. We're outstanding can't say enough...

I wouldn't go on a holiday again. Instead of adjusting up for the anticipated busy night they scaled back had only two people cooking and cut out a lot of their advertised menu. The shrimp and scallops in my seafood tagliatelle were woefully underseasoned despite being literally drowned in thick spicy red sauce. Nonna would not approve. My dining companion's chicken Parmesan was tough and dry. On the positive side my daughter's filet mignon was perfectly cooked. Dessert selections leave much to be desired. Is it that difficult to bake an actual cake these days. Waiter was great but an underwhelming dining experience, especially because when we went last summer it was excellent we expected so much more.
We sat at a table in the bar area early in the evening, which was lovely. The service was excellent-friendly, attentive and helpful. We were a little disappointed by the food. Although my crab cakes were good, others had the salmon and the fettuccine with lamb ragu, which they disliked. All the vegetables were fresh and the mushrooms delicious. Menu was limited and we were surprised that the food wasn't better given the great reviews.

Clara's restaurant sits on a hill in the quiet town of Wilmington with lovely mountain views. We enjoyed good food, pleasant service and lovely classic holiday decorations in the main dining room.

Clara's Cucina Italiana in the White House Inn has quickly become our favorite place to dine when we're in the area. The reasons are many: first, the inn, restaurant, and bar are absolutely gorgeous, having undergone a tasteful and historically sensitive renovation in recent years. The ambiance is truly beautiful. Second: the food is outstanding! And while there are certainly fantastic Italian dishes on the menu, there is also fish, seafood, steak, amazing salads, and more. Everything we have ordered has been excellent. Third: creative, delicious cocktails, and incredibly extensive wine list. Last, and by no means least, the staff at Clara's is second to none, from Adam, the manager, to every wait person we've had the pleasure to meet. They're attentive, knowledgeable, warm, and friendly. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

The chicken parmigiana was expertly executed and came with an appropriate amount of fresh capellini pasta. The pink grapefruit sorbet provided a fabulous finish. I highly recommend a visit.
