Stopped in while waiting for our daughter's flight to take off. Fantastic atmosphere. Staff and owner are very hospitable and friendly. Loaded tots are spot on and the house creme is on point. Ordered a Season of the Witch and house Old Fashion. The Witch is an incredible fusion of flavors and smooth to drink. The Old Fashion with OF 1910 was a perfect example of what and Old Fasion should be. Ruby the bartender should be commended on her mixology skills.

Used to really enjoy this spot, but the water-tasting margaritas and consistently grouchy bartenders made for my last visit. After waiting for the miserable bartender to finish ogling at girls at the bar, I got a watered down lime juice, no simple, and a splash of tequila marg. Two margaritas with tip were over $35- not worth it for what we got.

We chose this place because of ratings. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Their poutine was served on “the side” even though we paid for a full order. It was not good, gravy very runny and over spiced. About 4 cheese curds and soggy fries. The burger was ordered well done but was served bright pink so we had to wait 20 mins for a new burger. Plus it was cold and rainy and they had the door propped open.

Been in here over a dozen times. Beer menu is always impressive but can be a bit expensive, food is mediocre, and the staff is always extremely rude. I’ve never received such consistently terrible service anywhere. Definitely a ‘snobby’ bar.

Excellent place to stop less than an hour from the lines. Very good choice of beers on tap as well as the food menu. Eat a very good (simple) smashburger with fries the way I like them. +4.8
For the price you pay is definitely not worth it! We could not believe the bill! Smash burger was rock hard and burnt. The service was not great, the sodas were flat. All around not worth it!

Ordering set up is very confusing. My non-white friend had a very poor and uncomfortable service experience there. Not what I would expect from a VT bar, I thought this state was more progressive.

I’ve lived in Winooski for a little over a year and have gone to Mule Bar quite a few times. Every time I go the staff is excellent, as are the drinks and food. I have to shout out Zander, who has been one of the bartenders a few times I’ve gone. He treats everyone who walks in like a close friend and creates such a welcoming and friendly environment. They also have one of the best draft lists in town and the food specials always hit, cheers!
Gastropub? No. Just had a double "smash burger" but it was like 2 hockey pucks stacked. They have NO CLUE what a smash burger should be like. None whatsoever. Lousy lousy cook.
