Brought my St. Mike's sophomore to a late lunch. Our first visit, excellent all around. Great food (we had the spicy chicken sandwich and fries), great drink (I had the chai pina colada) and great service. Will definitely be back.

Came into this bar in Winooski for drinks and was actually impressed with the food. It didn't look like the place was anything special but the product and service made it. Mule Bar is more than some divy ass place. Actually has a pretty good menu of some healthy things and not just greasy junk. The food includes a few vegan items as well. At lunch it wasn't that busy. It's pretty cramped inside so it still felt like it was, but we got a few bar seats. The drink menu was why we came, and there was good stuff on this. Lots of local beers on tap to choose from. Of course they make mules. It's about $12 for a cocktail. The coolest sounding one was the Peanut Butter Jelly Thyme. It's peanut butter washed bourbon with plum, strawberry, and thyme bitters. Kind of like drinking a sandwich. Speaking of sandwiches, they had these to eat too. It's about $13 to get one. They have burgers, and they have the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Amazing fact: you can get a vegan version of it. They make the alternate with some kind of plant based patty. Get lots of great drinks and food. It's more of a bar, but the food is as good as at a restaurant. There's healthier options, including things okay for vegans and vegetarians.

Mule bar has very good fried chicken sandwiches at a good price, among other well made pub fare. There is a really nice rotating beer selection. Their cocktail program is also a bit more rigorous than one might expect in a casual setting. I happily drive across town to sit and have brunch/lunch and a few drinks here. Always a safe choice.

10/19: We came there in the afternoon just after our flight. We grabbed a few beers and had some menu items. The food was above average for bar bites and the bartender serving our table seemed genuinely nice...she even made a special NA drink for our 8-year-old which he loved. This seemed like a perfect place to drop in for a drink and some bites mid-day.
