The cutest coffee shop in Winooski! I visited with a small group of five women, and we absolutely loved the service and atmosphere. 💘 The iced chai milk tea and mango cheesecake were delicious. I‘ll be back! ✨

The Vietnamese beef stew was amazing when ordered with rice noodles. The shrimp rolls are so fresh and the food tastes so good. Coffee is roasted bitterly just like the authentic Vietnamese style. Banh mi was ok, it was with mayo so perhaps a local twist

One of my favorite places in the Burlington area. The banh mis, the stew, and the tea are all amazing, so I get something different everytime. Everything is halal too, which is awesome.

My friend and I tried Sarom’s and loved it. We had the tofu Bánh Mi with delicious spring rolls that were crunchy and delicious. The sandwiches had a lightly dressed slaw, some cucumber and just slightly hot raw peppers. Very fresh. The bread was light and crisp with just the right amount of mayo. Really good. And we tried the coconut bun and can tell you now you will love it!
Vegetarian options: Tofu sandwiches and vegetarian spring rolls. There may be more.
Dietary restrictions: There was a whole menu of what was available for different dietary needs.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp from a handicap parking space right to the door.

We discovered this place by chance and we were not disappointed! Their Vietnamese sandwiches as well as their fried rolls are delicious. In addition, the staff is welcoming and friendly. The place is very clean, big and bright. Perfect for arriving with baby and his stroller! Excellent value for money.

Sarom’s Cafe: A Cozy Gem in Winooski
I recently visited Sarom’s Cafe, a charming Vietnamese restaurant in Winooski, during an event hosted by VT PoC (Vermont Professionals of Color). The event, VT PoC Co-Work & Chill, provided an informal and welcoming space for co-working, networking, and simply getting out of the house. VT PoC is a fantastic organization focused on creating community and support for professionals of color across Vermont, and their events always offer an opportunity to connect in meaningful ways.
Sarom’s Cafe proved to be the perfect venue for this gathering. The ambiance was inviting, with soothing music playing in the background, creating a peaceful environment ideal for remote work or casual conversations.
For my first visit, I decided to try their Vegetarian Spring Rolls, which came with four rolls packed with taro, carrots, mung bean noodles, and mushrooms. At just $5.99, they were fresh, flavorful, and filling. I also ordered a Hot Chai Milk Tea ($4.49), which was rich, aromatic, and a perfect companion on a chilly day. To top it off, we were treated to some freshly baked pastries, and I tried their Coconut Buns, which were soft, lightly sweetened, and absolutely delicious.
The service was excellent. Mariana L, the cashier, was friendly and attentive, ensuring that all guests felt welcomed and taken care of. The atmosphere struck a balance between cozy and professional, making it a great spot for those who need a change of scene while working remotely.
I was so impressed with Sarom’s Cafe that I’m adding it to my list of go-to offsite workspaces. With its delightful food, relaxing ambiance, and welcoming staff, it’s an excellent spot for productivity or simply enjoying a quiet moment.
If you’re looking for a new place to work, meet, or enjoy great Vietnamese-inspired cuisine, I highly recommend Sarom’s Cafe!
