Papa Pete's Home of the Giant Pancakes

they have turned away 3 parties already stating it's over an hour wait for food with plenty of seating available. It seems like only 1 person is in the kitchen cooking on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. I will not be coming again solely based off the wait time for breakfast food in this diner.

This quaint little dinner was an absolute gem - immediately welcomed by staff in such a warm wholesome way, it felt like I was eating in someone's home and not diner!
Of course had to have the giant pancake ? nothing was sacrificed for quality over quantity - you get both and then some! nicely paired with filter coffee that was continuously and generously refilled, I also treated myself to a "Vermosa" - this places unquie answer to Vermonts version of a Mimosa only this time with a beautiful apple cider in combination with a gorgeous prosecco brut!
1000% would recommend,ge there early for a table.

Amazing. Had a huge breakfast and the service was so fast friendly!

Ive been passing by this place for the last 12 wks.....Mmmmmmmm ? good .. I'm going back before I leave. The "sink " omelet ?.. Made me speak in tongue ? ?... lol..

Really rude and not customer friendly at all. We had a large group and they refused to let us split up. Would never go here.

Got fruit cup, home fries and toast. Food was good. Wait staff were nice and attentive. Can get a bit noisy at peak breakfast times.

Best fan cakes tbh , super casual feel. I’m an outsider and they were very nice! I got pancakes with fruit in it and it was honestly memorable. Now this was back in 2022 when I went and I still remember !

First time I ever went to a diner where they had 2 open tables & no line of waiting customers and was told it would be an hour wait. Very strange to say the least.

We were told it would be a 20 minute wait we could come back or wait for a table. Within 10 minutes we were seated.
We placed our orders. My granddaughter got the breakfast sandwich.i ordered their " famous" pancake with 3 eggs and bacon on the side.
We then waited over an hour for our food to be served
My granddaughter got hers first. Mine came a few moments later
Her sandwich was so greasy the bun was soaked in it.
I got my bacon first she came back a few minutes later with the eggs. Another five minutes I got the pancake.
By now the eggs were cold and also overcooked. I requested over easy which they were not
My pancake was also cold...it was hard on the outside and still doughy inside.the bill was 40 dollar's and change.
We didn't finish our meal. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If this is an example of their " famous" food

Had breakfast with a family of 4. Wait staff were lovely and the food was good but it was almost 40 minutes before we were served. From other reviews, this is not uncommon so be aware if you are on a tight schedule. The giant pancake is indeed that. It is huuuuge and thick. It's the size of a small pizza and is more than enough to feed a family of four.

This place is a must go to. They have the famous pancakes that are huge. If you think you can east all three try it out. The waitress is very fast and nice. If you come to Bennington you must try this place.

Walked in with my 11 year old on a busy Sunday morning. We expected that it would be busy. we did not expect the brown haired unfriendly waitress to stride over and promptly start yelling at us for basically being there. Immediately without us saying one word she launched into a tirade saying that "there were tables but there would be at least an hour wait for food and see all those tickets up there? (motioning to the kitchen) It'll be at LEAST an hour if not more if people order pancakes." We stood there stunned and she continued "At least I told you." We said okay and motioned that we were gonna leave as she strode off. I told her that at least she could have been nice about it but she was already ignoring us. Wtf?? We went and waited at the Blue Benn because we are civil people and eventually got busy but rational service.
