Went in with my husband and two kids the waitress looked at us and said ohh you have kids I don’t recommend them eating here it’ll be 45 minutes to an hour wait once you order which we replied it’s okay our two year old had already had breakfast being it was 10 am and our newborn had a bottle already. She then replied are you sure I have kids I know how they are they are going to be hungry in a few minutes we said he just ate.. then she looked at us rolled her eyes and said ok well give me five minutes to clean this table with an attitude (it had one cup on it) and then she went on a rant again how our son would be helping her bust tables that she has kids and knows how they are. Ma’am if you are reading this just because your kids are clearly miss behaved and don’t know how to act doesn’t mean everyone else’s are there are some parents out there who know how to raise well behaved kids. We will never come back because of how unwelcoming that one waiter was.
They were busy and told as as soon as we walked in, which was appreciated! Friendly fun staff, family vibes, indoor and outdoor seating. Simple menu. The food. Was. Amazing. Best pancakes I think I’ve ever had, huge, thick as hell, perfect density. Tex mex omelette was amazing. Perfect breakfast potatoes. Great coffee. Even the toast was great. Highly suggest this place!
This was a cozy little diner. The staff was very friendly and interacted with us. The owner was a very nice woman. The giant pancake is a must have, so good and can easily feed 4 people.
Papa Pete's is OUTSTANDING. The food is incredible with good portion sizes and the pancakes are DELECTABLE! Kathy has a very endearing personality and a fun mindset. I'll definitely be back
We had eggs Benedict- one with spinach, one regular, bacon, OJ and coffee. We are not too picky, but the “sauce” was not hollandaise, but seemed like straight egg yolk, the spinach was soggy and looked as if it was frozen and then not drained when warmed up, the bread product under the whole thing was soggy. The home fries were unseasoned and deep fried, the bacon so salty that neither of us could finish a whole piece. The booth seats were almost painful to sit on. The waitstaff were friendly, and the wait time long. We had heard great things about Papa Pete’s and were disappointed.
Nice small, comfy place... booth tables high enough to get my fat belly in! I had two blueberry pancakes, tasted wonderful, started eating before I remembered to take a picture! I'll be stopping in again, if my old legs will allow it. Can't get my wheelchair up stairs! Lol. But it was worth it. Very nice people.
We found this gem while on a road trip and got there just as it as closing. They told us it was fine for us to come in. The owner was there and was super nice. We got a chance to tell her our story about our love for Mom and Pop restaurants as we travel throughout the U.S. The owner and the waitress was very friendly. The food was delicious. We had the eggs with home fries and toast and a pancake. Everything was great and it was the best pancake we ever had. Would definetly recommend this place.
they have turned away 3 parties already stating it's over an hour wait for food with plenty of seating available. It seems like only 1 person is in the kitchen cooking on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. I will not be coming again solely based off the wait time for breakfast food in this diner.
This quaint little dinner was an absolute gem - immediately welcomed by staff in such a warm wholesome way, it felt like I was eating in someone's home and not diner!
Of course had to have the giant pancake ? nothing was sacrificed for quality over quantity - you get both and then some! nicely paired with filter coffee that was continuously and generously refilled, I also treated myself to a "Vermosa" - this places unquie answer to Vermonts version of a Mimosa only this time with a beautiful apple cider in combination with a gorgeous prosecco brut!
1000% would recommend,ge there early for a table.

Really rude and not customer friendly at all. We had a large group and they refused to let us split up. Would never go here.
Got fruit cup, home fries and toast. Food was good. Wait staff were nice and attentive. Can get a bit noisy at peak breakfast times.
