We showed up and clearly the staff was having issues among themselves as we waited for a table. Once seated, we noticed over 5 tables with no service yet. We waited at least 15 minutes before we had a drink in front of us. The server was nice but clearly overworked and stretched way too thin as he mentioned how every table was seated at once and hard to manage. Our food came out after a long wait and two items were extremely overcooked, one missing the sauce that was supposed to be on it and inedible in its overcooked state. We witnessed multiple tense moments between staff, the 2nd round of drinks came in plastic cups. Between having underwhelming meals for the kids (again, dry, no sauce) and the overcooked dry meals for adults, the only saving grace was the French fries. After the food was served our wait staff never asked how our meal was until he brought the check, so there was no opportunity to remedy how bad our food was.

Cute little restaurant in main street Woodstock, Vermont.

Food was good, they were super busy so it was a little slow but nothing too bad :)

Cute spot on the corner! All it had going for it was nicely decorated. We waited 2 hours for lunch and never got our food. All we had was drinks and left. We were hoping it was more like its predecessor, Bentleys!

We were here over an hour before our food came. I had shrimp tacos that I could have whipped up faster and better in my own kitchen. Server had an attitude and we had to ask for water that was never refilled. Boo. Not pleasant. Go somewhere else!

I literally cannot think of one good thing to say about this place! Busy is not an excuse! We waited 20 minutes for a host then just wandered tot the bar and found seats. Beer comes in a can (no glass) or plastic cup… mind you they charge competent restaurant prices. Waited 20 minutes just to place orders for beer. 40 minutes for food to arrive, behind 2 others next to is who arrived long after. Bartender made some excuse about 2 different kitchens. The ICING ON THE CAKE: they got both of our orders wrong. This place is a ridiculous joke, praying on tourists. Shame on you. You are a disgrace.

We waited for over an hour for our food, and they messed up our order which was very frustrating. Although we understand there was a dinner rush, no one informed us in advance that the wait would be this long. It seems like poor planning to have only two people working in the kitchen on a busy Saturday night during high season. Or very greedy. Additionally, the menu prices were higher than usual because of the season, which added to our disappointment. Finally, the food is lower than average.

Since most of the restaurants in Woodstock were closed we ended up at Dr. Coburns Tonic. When we arrived the restaurant was hardly busy. We were seated at a table near the kitchen and could hear all of the chaos going on in the back along with being neglected by our server for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes a random server came over and asked if we had been asked for our drink order. We ordered our drinks and food. Another 15 minutes passed before we received our drinks. Now 45 minutes in to this restaurant experience we sat and waited for another 30 minutes for our food. The sever came over and told me that the Mac and cheese I ordered was sold out for the day. I had to order something new and she claimed she would put a rush on the order.

Well my chicken tenders came out burnt and my husband still didn’t receive his burger. I had to ask for it after 10 minutes. His burger came and he said it tasted “dirty”. He opened it up and it was a frozen patty, nothing homemade, along with some sort of sauce and lettuce that was brown. Needless to say, he didn’t eat his burger and we wasted about 2hrs in this horrible restaurant.

I highly recommend you do not go here. We heard the kitchen arguing along with the servers and it seems nobody had a clue what was going on.

This spot was fantastic for our family when we needed a late lunch break during our stroll around Woodstock. The service was great and our sandwiches and kids meal were spot on. Really enjoyed the decor and vibe in this joint and ordered a fall bourbon cocktail and it was perfection.

These are the facts, not personal opinions of my experience here. Based on the facts, I encourage you to determine your own opinions of this "restaurant".

As a family of 3, we entered Dr. Coburn's Tonic at 2:30, greeted by a hostess & told it would be a 25 to 30 minute wait for a table, & placed our name on the list. While waiting at the Front of the restaurant, I noticed a high top table in the Bar section sitting empty for 10 minutes. I inquired with the hostess about sitting at the high top table & was told she needed to check. 5 minutes later, she returned to us, informing us the Bar Section is first come, first served.

We sat at the high top table for 10 minutes before we were acknowledged by the waitress who then handed off food stained paper menus to us. 15 minutes later, the waitress took our beverage & food orders. 15 after placing our order, we still had not received our beverages & our waitress made every effort to avoid making eye contact with us.

After spending a total of 55 minutes in this restaurant & having not received anything other than neglecting service, we decided that it was time to leave.

After getting stranded in Woodstock due to car troubles, the staff here helped my sister and I get a last minute table after everything was booked and made sure we were taken care of during our unfortunate situation. We are so appreciative of the caring hospitality!

Come in early if you are here for dinner as the kitchen closes early. Good food and drinks. The vibe is awesome too. Waiters aren’t rude just that they are busy and at the EOD seem fatigued.
Overall a great experience.

Waiting almost an hour for food. I ordered the homemade chicken soup under the dinner specials and it was only a small amount of soup? Only positive is dog friendly friendly and has outside seating. Servers were kind.

We went here for the first time. It was awesome. The staff was excellent and very friendly. The taste of the sandwiches we had makes us want to go back soon.

First time, menu offered did not have all options per photos on google search. Tried the apple cider Bellini which was very nice. Had Caesar salad which is not what you expect but filling. Red onion pieces took away from the salad. The wings ordered in BBQ and they were crispy on outside, juicy and tender inside. 8 pieces. The macaroni and cheese meal could feed four people. Creamy and delicious. The bartender working the drinks in another part of restaurant had to work the dining area which made service suffer but on the whole the food made up for it.

Parking: Parking near restaurant very limited. We walked two blocks from hotel staying at.

I'm not sure if it was the day we picked, but they were definitely short-staffed. We waited for an hour just to have our order taken, and it took them another 30 minutes to bring us the wrong drinks. We decided to cancel our order and leave because we were starving. Another group warned us about the wait time, and we are very patient, especially after waiting an hour for our order to be taken. Honestly, if the restaurant is going to be short-staffed, why not have a QR code on each table with a table number for people to order their meals? Then, you could have a designated waitress to deliver the food to the table. 🤷🏻‍♀️
