I researched our area for a tasting menu, my favourite way to enjoy dinner out. The Lincoln Inn 7course tasting menu was outstanding. Each plate was beautifully crafted and creative. The food was delicious. Because we don’t drink alcohol we enjoyed the non-alcoholic drink pairings in lieu of the wine parings. I recently visited a Michelin star rated restaurant in San Francisco and the chef at the Lincoln in outdid that menu in spades. I can’t wait to return when we don’t have to drive home in a blizzard. ?

Did not stay at Inn.Food & drinks: We only went for dinner, which was an experience! Mara was so charming explaining each dish with such enthusiasm, we couldn't wait to try each dish! Chef is so artistic with food and flavors and we ate food we would never have found around our location. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the 7 course meal which was an outstanding culinary experience. The wine pairings along with the inventive, artfully presented delicious courses made the experience at the very top of what a food experience can be. We'll return.

Delicious, inventive, delightful. Every bite of this meal was presented with fresh and flavorful ingredients, artistry, and paired with wine for a complete culinary experience. We look forward to returning!
It appears that the focus is on the dining...which we appreciate and did not partake. Food is by reservation only.We stayed in room 6. The bed was very uncomfortable for the both of us...we could feel the lumps and bumps of the mattress. It needs a new mattress. We woke up sore each night. Really the window can't be opened due to the road noise but when closed you don't hear it.There is an A/C that helped. The inn is historic and has the glitchiness that old homes have...no biggie. However, for lack of a better word we found ourselves a bit claustrophobic...perhaps it was a smaller than anticipated room with slanted ceiling. The review isn't personal, to the inn owners, just an opinion based on experience.

My wife and I had the seven-course chef tasting dinner at the Lincoln Inn Restaurant in Woodstock during my first trip to Vermont. We have experienced chef tasting menus at many restaurants around the world, and this was one of the best. Chef Jevgenija Saromova is a culinary artist, and partner Mara Mehlman selected the perfect wine pairings for each dish. The courses were delicious and exquisitely prepared. I was not expecting this level of gourmet dining on the outskirts of a small Vermont town. Thank you Jevgenija and Mara for a wonderful dining experience.

Food & drinks: Fantastic food and service. The absolute best in New England in my opinion.

This was an exceptional dining experience. Over the course of 3+ hours, we were served seven phenomenal plates, each consisting of a delectable main ingredient (in our case, karachi crudo, sea scallop, langostine, caprese, quail, tenderloin, and chocolate mousse) perfectly complimented by an array of exquisite and creative garnishes and mouth watering reductions. In some cases, exotic ingredients were flown in overnight from different countries. This type of labor intensive preparation could only exist in a venue that limits it audience to a single seating of only 12-14 people per night…making it that much more special. In short, the ultimate foodie experience and an unforgettable memory.
Great food, just a little bit slow service, so if you're in a big hurry maybe not the greatest stop. Otherwise it's a great stop, a really cool restaraunt and a really great New York for $30!
