Billing practice they overcharge and laugh about it say no one ever checks the bill and maybe Woodstock inn is not a good fit for your type

The food was very good. The staff was professional, informative and helpful. It was a relaxing meal at a beautiful location.

Went for special family dinner , group of 10, waitress could not handle group. Food was delivered warm to colder side. Two meals returned. Manager did the right thing with removing cost of meals. Complete disappointment.

Impeccable, attentive service. The food was phenomenal and the drinks were very good. The duck is delicious and the tofu did not disappoint.

The clam chowder was not hot. The burger was inedible: well done even though medium rare had been ordered. No condiments on a very dry bun. The Vermont cheese plate was only so-so. Too much white cheese and a few grapes and 2 crackers.

We were wandering around Woodstock Vt looking for food that was not a burger and fries around and heard another couple mention eating at the end. So we headed that direction. Their unique farm to table hooked right away. I had the butternut squash soup with nuts and brown sugar on top and a grilled cheese sandwich. This grilled cheese was not your mothers grilled cheese! It had beets and salad as well as two kinds of cheese. It was amazing. My husband had 1/2 of my sandwich and the clamp chowder. He said was outstanding. The waitress was very attentive. She kept our water glasses filled and checked on us frequently. If you get to Woodstock VT be sure to check it out. You will not be disappointed!

I thought the food was mediocre. I was expecting a bit more for the caliber of the Woodstock Inn

Apple butternut soup quite literally restored my hearts. They say their ingredients are fresh, and I must say, I'm inclined to believe them. I'd never had a soup that tasted refreshing until eating here.
Service was very friendly and the delicious, made-to-order food came out quick.
The decor was also very pretty.

Wife and I made a reservation for dinner for one evening while staying in nearby Killington.

The venue is in the heart of woodstock and located (obviously) within the woodstock inn.

The inn itself is massive and beautiful. The interior is stunning to look at and simply enjoy on its own.

The Red Rooster was equally as pleasant. We were greeted by friendly staff and treated well throughout our dinner.

We began with rolls and maple butter. These are incredible and would happily order again.

We each tried a soup, myself the clam chowder and my wife the apple butternut. We both agreed we could have simply had these for dinner.

We both then got salads. I tried the kale ceasar with salmon and my wife the rooster salad with steak. Excellent, no complaints. All was prepared well.

Despite minimal room, we couldnt resist the maple cake with pecan ice cream. Portion is very large but flavor is outstanding.

All and all an absolutely great dinner. We would happily recommend. Its not a cheap stop but its worth it in our opinion!

My suggestion would be to refurbish the restaurant and make it more cosy, the ambiance it has now is in no way comparable to the rest of the hotel. -Food is good, not very good or great -Service is great, warm, kind and attentive -Price-Quality is good, not great Constructive, Honest, Feedback is a gift 🇺🇸❤️🍽️

While the interior could get an update it is cozy and the service very friendly. Food is good and especially a good option for families.

Breakfast is buffet style with several good options, including continental breakfast and more traditional American style breakfast. Dinner however, was underwhelming and a little expensive for what was offered.

We had lunch here on a Tuesday in October and it was very good. The food itself was delicious but the service is what made this restaurant special for us. Our server, Cody, was so friendly and helpful. He was so nice to our kids and made us all laugh. We had such a good time that we'll be sure to do this again when we come back to the area.

Wonderful food and great service in a cozy environment. So glad we were able to get in and love our meal! We enjoyed the grilled cheese, soup, mussels, and dessert.

We had a delicious steak cooked just the way we like it and the clam chowder and butter nut squash soup were delicious as well. We had the best service which we really appreciated. Recommend making a reservation ahead of time.. we did not but were lucky to get a table.
