A terrific meal and excellent service ! This place was really great . Our waiter , Andres , was simply the best . Our dinner and drinks were out of this world . The chicken dish was tender and the fish was flawless . Highly recommend.

A nicely appointed dining room and well presented entrees. A shareable selection of four cheeses from local Vermont creameries is a good introduction to local product. Efficient, professional and friendly wait staff.

Our lunch at the Red Rooster was wonderful. The garden greens topped with grilled salmon was delicious. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the maple vinaigrette dressing complemented the salad beautifully. My husband likes trying unique menu options and he enjoyed the duck tacos. Samantha was the perfect server - friendly and very competent in her job. Her service was prompt with frequent returns to our table to inquire if everything was satisfactory. Be prepared that lunch for two which includes a first plate, entree, a dessert and one bar beverage per person will probably be above $100 before the gratuity but we felt that our lovely experience was worth the expense.

A $70 lunch that consisted of grilled cheese, a shot of tomato soup, a couple of ounces of duck and some lettuce. I never mind paying for exceptional food, but this was pathetic. No cocktails or wine, just water and a coffee. It's a nice setting and the staff was polite, but I walked out feeling dissatisfied and frustrated that I spent so much energy and effort driving to the Woodstock Inn for an experience so bland and sad.

Brought my parent for lunch .. they were supposed to go last year for their 60th wedding anniversary but my mother broke her arm and had to cancel ... my husband and I brought them this year for lunch... Has a great time, great food , friendly attentive staff. My husband had the pasta with pesto.. excellent. My mother and I had the grilled cheese and soup ... perfection. And my father had the burger ... his was perfectly cooked and great!

Valentine's Day pre-fixe dinner. We both ordered the beef tenderloin medium rare. We were served beef tenderloin very rare. We were offered to have the meal cooked further which would have made it inedible. In addition, the dish included chic peas which we felt was an awful pairing with the beef.

Reasonable selection of vegetarian entrees and small dishes. My wife's carrot based dish was delicious, although she complained of too much salt in the chick peas. My cauliflower small plate was excellent. Her squash soup was very good. My pasta dish was too salty. A chef who is confident in his recipes should not have to rely so much on salt for flavor. Wine was expensive and just ok. Service was outstanding.

We have always had a wonderful experience at the Red Rooster, and this evening was no different. A positive change we noted this time, however, was the diminished noise level. The lighting and helpful staff as well as the delicious food is a memory we will keep for a long time!

My wife and I had a top-tier dining experience here. Everything was perfect, I can’t think of any critiques. Had the local butcher’s cut NY strip, wife had the duck, both were cooked exact to our temp, with delicious sides. Great wine selection. Nice atmosphere. We were staying in Killington to ski, highly recommend this place as an upscale nearby dinner spot. Hopefully I’ll be back soon.

Service and food incredible. My son said it was the best meal he's had in a long time with special skirt steak. House made Campanella pasta was divine. Love the booth seating. Save room for dessert.

There are many restaurants that serve top end food, however a true 5 star review is based on total experience. In this situation, Red Rooster did not disappoint. The food is AMAZING. The wait staff were engaging, and you could tell they knew the menu and drink list, inside and out. They were able to advise and make suggestions. We were able to enjoy our Appetizers before being asked to order our dinner. This allowed for nice conversation. At this price point, it is hard to say anything is a "good value," however it is obvious that the entire customer experience is taken into account. Ultimately, it is a great night out and worth the money.

Food was excellent. The rib eye was a generous portion that my husband and I were able to share, along with the oxtail ragu. Fresh, local ingredients, prompt and friendly service, and an atmosphere in which to enjoy dining.

Both my meal and my wife's meal were excellent and the service was good. But when I'm paying $35 for chicken and $40 for her pork chops, I would expect rolls or bread to be served with our meal. You can order rolls for $10 off the menu??

The Red Rooster is a regular gathering spot for our little family, spread from Southern NH to the Northern Kingdom. It is always anticipated and the anticipation is always realized. The greeting is always warm and welcoming, the service perfect, the food, better than perfect. Every time, we leave, it is followed by plans to return. Thank you.
