Really enjoyed our meal here. The drinks were great. Bread with whipped butter. Ribeye for the table were all wonderful. The service was even better.

Not great. Asked if i could have some shrimp or chicken with my pasta or as a sidr. Chef refused.

A lovely meal. Atmosphere was bustling, festive, and cozy by the fire. Service was very attentive and food came out quickly. Food was good, overall a wonderful experience.

Always love Richardson's Tavern! The burger the best ever! Nice Tavern ambience and service. A gem in Woodstock at the Inn.

Our final server was exceptional. We asked to sit at a different table which the staff was not happy about. The first server appeared to be annoyed that we moved out of her area and the matre'd had an attitude. The menu is limited and the food was not up to the value. We would not recommend this restaurant.

Arrived at 6:20 for a 6:45 reservation There were several empty tables. We were emphatically turned away and told to return at our allotted time. We left and came back to the same empty tables. Not very welcoming!

Had another great meal at Richardson's Tavern. Highly recommend the Hanger Steak. The "Crafted Cocktails" at Richard's Tavern (and the Red Rooster) are top notch. My wife had the Vodka based "Collins". I had a special created by the local bartender which was heaven: "Sera Rosso" (combination of a Negroni and a Manhatten).

while we missed some things that used to be on the menu here, and had trouble finding something on the menu that we really wanted to order, the food we had was excellent and decently priced. Salmon entree was pretty basic preparation in theory but very well executed. We were pleasantly surprised by tasty/tangy dressing and great greens and radishes in the Rooster salad. Ambiance is very cozy and intimate. However the choice of loud, hard core blues music didn't really fit the space. Would have preferred something more of a background. Our server was wonderfully professional. Would definitely return

We had a wonderful waitress who gave us great recommendations. Drinks were delicious as was the food.

Food was ok, difficult to get a reservation. I had the chicken which was nice, my wife ordered a burger well and it came out rare. She explained that since she was pregnant, to be safe would like it cooked fully. They apologized and took it back. The next burger came out more rare than the first. The third burger was cooked on the outside but pretty pink in the middle. At that point she just didn’t eat the center of the burger and we cut our losses and left.

Not many options in Woodstock, unfortunate to have that experience.

We’ve been coming to the Woodstock Inn for years but decided to try out Richardson’s Tavern for the first time recently. Wow were we blown away. Service was great, burger with pimento cheese and bacon jam was to die for!!! Also loved that there were several non-alcoholic cocktail options. A beautiful tavern atmosphere but make sure to book a reservation as seating gets tight.

The ambiance was very nice and cozy. However, I was disappointed in the food, especially given the price of the entrees. I ordered the NY Strip which comes with "herb frites" and broccolini. The steak was very tough, and my two dinner guests also got steak and agreed it was tough/chewy. The fries seemed to be from a frozen bag and had a little parsley added as the "herb", and my broccolini came out cold. For $40, it was not worth the splurge for "fine dining".

Two nights in a row... they constantly make a great dirty martini.

Food was below average. My steak came overcooked with a mountain of greasy fries. Not a good look for a modern Tavern in a quaint setting. Service was impeccable and courteous. They took back my steak and corrected it and brought me vegetables instead of fries this time. I liked the way they handled it. Still - recommend the food get overhauled to simpler/higher standard of Tavern fare.

The Woodstocker burger, roasted squash and tomato soup, and Campanelle pasta were absolutely delicious! However reservations are a must because they don't seem to hold back any tables for walk-ins (same goes for the Red Rooster.)
