Finding it was slightly tricky, because it is inside a larger building. We're glad we did! We had a delicious panini and chocolate cupcake. Very friendly service!

Ligia and Eduardo are so nice!I first knew of them because they catered the desserts for I+K wedding at Reading Farms Estate.I was blown away by how delicious and cute all their desserts are! I highly recommend using their services for any special event. The entire wedding guests could not stop eating them, there were no desserts left.A few months passed by and I asked if they could make a red velvet birthday cake and they were able to help me and have the cake ready in a day!The cake was super good! The cream cheese was really good and the inside of the cake was moist. I ate the whole thing in 3 days lol.I will definitely keep them in mind for future events. As it is always so nice supporting our local vendors, specially when they have such a great product.

Absolutely incredible! We were visiting town and it was my son’s birthday. Ligia made the most beautiful cake for him - and it was by far the most delicious cake I have ever had! She and her husband were so wonderful and kind. I highly recommend this bakery!!!

Ligia came highly recommended by a private chef we hired for our microwedding in Quechee, and she surpassed expectations!!! Ligia made us a gorgeous pumpkin wedding cake and brownies for our wedding dinner. We also ordered brigadeiros, pão de queijo, quiches, and a passion fruit cake for the morning after the wedding and everything was heavenly. If you are Brazilian like me, you’ll appreciate that Ligia is gifted with American and Brazilian style baked goods. We appreciated the versatility and flexibility and the incredible hard work that Ligia and Eduardo put into their business. Thank you so much!

Stumbled across this hidden gem while exploring Woodstock. My mom and I wanted to split a panini but wanted different toppings so the friendly owner cut the bread in half and made us each our own.We also bought the cinnamon rolls to take home and they were so so delicious!! I would absolutely visit here again if back in the area.

Eduardo was very friendly and helpful. I bought a brigadeiro and it was phenomenal! To be fair, I've never had one before (if you haven't either but you love chocolate and chocolate ganache, you MUST try one! The topping is almost like tiny rice crispies, which add a little crunch to your bite!) I also bought an apple cupcake as well as a Mocha one. I can't wait to try them! It's hard resisting the temptation but they're not open on Sunday so I had to get enough to last thru the weekend. ? If they're absolutely horrible, I'll let you know. If you don't hear back, I'm basking in the blogs that is Splendid Bakes. ? ??? Don't forget to try the Brazilian Guarana Soda! ? They also serve sandwiches and salads! ??

Love this small, local business that offers awesome cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies, and other treats. Just the perfect size and not too sweet. Try the delicious paninis for lunch. They also sell a great sourdough focaccia and make excellent cakes for special occasions. Or for any occasion.

I went to this bakery yesterday wanting to support a new local business was very disappointed and found the entire experience insulting and unpleasant.I ordered a gingerbread cupcake which was very small and poorly iced and a coffee. The owner, who was pretty rude, told me it came to $9.88 cents, and I almost fell over! What’s worse, the cupcake was terrible! It had an unpleasant chemical taste from using too much bakng powder, and the coffee was literally the worst cup of coffee I have ever had—worse even than the free stuff you might get at a car garage waiting to get your car fixed. I mean, c’mon! Even in New York City (where I visit frequently) and Boston and Chicago (both places I have lived in the past 5 years) I could get a well-made cupcake and a cup of coffee that doesn’t taste like it was made from used coffee grounds and cigarette butts for about $6.00. Le Pain Quotidienne is cheaper and better. Local chef-owned bakeries across the country do better and charge less than this clown who can’t even be polite to an eager, enthusiastic potential new customer. Afterwards, without a “thank you for your business” or a smile or even a “good-bye” (I’ve met gas pumps with better personalities than this owner, I walked to the Woodstock Inn where I asked the doorman if he could throw the “coffee” away for me. Even he apologized for my bad experience at “Splendid Bakes.” This was the only bad experience of an otherwise perfect day spent in Woodstock. Also, to top it all off, “Splendid Bakes” has a sign at their register that actually asks people to “tip generously” on their credit card, as if it were a charity. Seriously? If you have to beg your customers, whom you are already price-gouging, for more money, well, whatever. This place is lucky I tipped $1 in cash BEFORE I was hit with the check, and I did not even get a thank you. (It’s a tip! Show your customers some gratitude. Also, the tip jar was full of huge bills, which I would guess were put their by the owner. Considering the place was empty, iI would guess this was a tactic to make people feel guilty for not following suit. This place deserves to go out of business. $10.88 for a crapoy half-cupcake and a cup of undrinkable swill.Worth it? I think not. So, ghis is what Vermont gets for paying people who don’t care about Vermont or Vermont values to Vermont to actually move here—and for what? So disappointing.
