3/25/2025: The two of us stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The decor is very warm and welcoming, high ceilings and art of Frida Kahlo. Service very friendly and attentive. We ordered margarita, sangria, guacamole, steak fajitas, and chiles mathias goeritz. Everything was delicious. The menu has gourmet and traditional items you'd find at other Mexican restaurants. I loved seeing gourmet dishes not normally found and was happy to try something I don't normally see.

Lovely space! Great vibe. The food was good but there are a couple of misses on the menu. First, the beans have great flavor but they're waaaay too liquid IMO. I love whole beans so this was a bummer. The combo appetizer platter was a bit odd. Very sparsely portioned in an attempt to look fancy with four small slices of baguette at each corner, but other than those things, we had a great meal and drinks. The chips and salsa are yummy, and our entrees were lovely. The desserts were especially tasty! Give them a try. Totally worth it.

The food was wonderful, it just took a little bit of time. It was defiantly worth the two hour drive from Vancouver. I especially liked the tacos and dessert.

Food was slightly above standard Mexican fare and restaurant had a nice ambience. I would however expect homemade tortillas given prices and “gourmet” being in the name. No draft beer either, despite menu stating so, resulting in less value for money. Good overall.

Good service, good menu selection, but the queso fundido was a small skillet of something like a cheesy base to a mac & cheese dish. The spicy queso appetizer was good, but not very queso-y.
Everyone else loved their dishes... the chili relleno, tacos, salad, and tortilla soup. Would go again but get a different dish.
Oh! The dessert churros were delicious!

Simply said THE BEST Mexican food I have ever had. Better than anything I have had anywhere else. Been to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Playa Del Carmen, and lived in Southern California. A few come close, but this place is next level. Anytime we're in the Pacific Northwest, my wife insists we come here.

Good food but small portions. Prices have gone up significantly by almost 50% in the last 4 years. Add to this a 4% card fee that was recently added.
We were also charged a 20% auto gratuity for a group of more than 6. To my understanding it should have been 18%.
The serving staff was unfriendly when we asked to move to the outside tables after sitting inside. I know that is additional tables to clean but come on.
Will not be back.

The server/owner Rocio was so unfriendly and acted like taking our order was the worst thing in the world. If looks could kill well dam my party would be yeeted ☠️⚰️! The food was good but man were the portions so small compared to other restaurants in the area. And the food was pricey too $19 for basic Mexican entrees( Burritos+ Enchiladas )that are easily $15 at other places around town with larger quantities. They also decided to charge us a 4.5% fee for using a card vs cash which wasn't disclosed ahead of time anywhere on the menu. Overall would definitely Not recommend and would check out some of the other restaurants in the area where the staff isn't Rude and unwelcoming and stingy. My party left the meal feeling upset, unwelcomed and with a bad taste in our mouth. Never eating here again.

Antonio and his staff are so great and the food is so yummy. They are also dog friendly on the outside tables for well behaved fur family. Try their margaritas, so good!

Not a lot to choose from in Anacortes, and this looked like one of the best options. Unfortunately this was not the case. The guacamole and chips were decent, but the house margarita was pretty awful (would have thought a "Gourmet Mexican" restaurant would have made a fresh margarita and not use some overly sweet, way too limey mix) and the Colonel salad was really awful. Now I understand I probably shouldn't have ordered a Mexican salad, but I wanted something light and fresh. I ordered wrong. The tomatoes were inedible and the dressing had a very strange aftertaste. I suggest not ordering this; perhaps go for something more authentically Mexican. Our $100 dinner (a side of guacamole, two salads with chicken, and two house margaritas) left a lot to be desired. A lot.
